Firstly what I and I think everyone wants to know is how did the name ‘KHANVICT’ come about?Well my surname is Khan and I’ve also spent some time in pris-on. When I decided to fi x my life up. I thought it would be a good idea to fuse part of my identity (KHAN) with my past (PRISON).

How and when did you fi nd out that you had the talent to spit? When I was in prison, to pass time I used to just write down some bars, and then I tried spittin them in a rhyme. Some of inmates said I sounded really good so from there on my bars got better and better.

How was life before the music?Life was hard. Getting by was hard, it was a struggle to feed, clothe and provide for me and my famo.

How was your luck with the ladies before you became big?[laughs] I was always onit with the ladies. It’s about who you are not about what you do, but obviously the money and the new clothes helped. [laughs]

Is there a special someone in your life at the moment? At the moment there is isn’t. There’s no time for ladies. My life now is so hectic I aint got the time to be dropping lines of the ladies. I just want to focus on my music for the time being.

You say your life is hectic so, do you still stay in contact with your old bedrins or...?

I would like to say yeah but that would be a lie. I lead such a hectic life it’s hard to keep in contact with my mum let alone my mates.

So would you say your new life the “good life”?People think that the ones that make it big are the ones who are living it, but it’s not all parties and girls. It takes hard work and dedication and if you can’t handle the pressure I guarantee you won’t make it.

Where did you get your inspiration from? The streets. When you’re living rough, there’s bare things that you can put on paper and turn into lyrics. Like in my latest song ‘WASTEMAN’ the lyrics in that are all about the wastemans that I used to call my friends.

Has the beef stopped between you and JUBZY don and what was it over?

BRANDED AS THE NEXT GRIME AND HIP-HOP PRODIGY AND TWO TIME AWARD WINNER OF THE B.E.T TALKS TO US ABOUT HIS

PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE.

I’ll never back down from confron-tation. If he wants it then I’ll bring it blud, and trust me when I say ill bring it you bet I will bring it. This all started when he made that track trying to murk me, for no reason. He’s a wasteman trying to get fame of my name.
