‘MY CHRISTMAS DREAM’

Synopsis

Christina Masters (Danica McKellar) has dreamed of living in Paris her whole life but for now,

she is focused on her career as a store manager for McDougal’s department store. When part-

time painter Kurt Stone (David Haydn-Jones) accidentally spills paint on Christina, the store’s

head of maintenance is compelled to fire Kurt. Christina has more important things on her

mind, though, like greeting the store’s founder, Victoria McDougal (Deidre Hall), who is making

a rare visit to the store. A lovely woman, but a no-nonsense businessperson, Victoria lets

Christina know right off the bat that she is considering her for the post of manager at the

McDougal’s new Paris location. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime for Christina and she couldn’t

be happier about, or more motivated by, the opportunity.

One day, Kurt’s adorable son Cooper (Christian Coveny) shows up at the store demanding to

see Santa, where Christina intercepts him and promises to deliver the boy’s message

personally. Victoria informs Christina that she is postponing her decision on the Paris store until

after McDougal’s eagerly-anticipated annual Christmas display is unveiled to the public – and

she makes it clear that the job hinges on her creating the most spectacular one yet. Christina

panics because for the first time ever she’s out of ideas and inspiration. When Cooper shows

up a second time, on his own, Christina drives him home and comes face-to-face with Kurt once

again. After noticing his paintings and recognizing his real talent as an artist, Christina implores

Kurt to come back to work for McDougal’s to help her create the Christmas display.

Reluctant at first, Kurt ultimately agrees to work with Christina on the project and a growing

affection between them becomes obvious, as are Cooper’s efforts to make Christina part of the

Stone family Christmas. When Victoria demands that Christina reveal her plans for the display,

and then rejects the design she and Kurt have proposed, the couple rallies the entire

McDougal’s team, with just 24 hours to design and build a display that wows the public and

impresses Victoria enough to win the Paris job for Christina. But when her dream job becomes

a reality, she finds her new romance with Kurt clouds the issue and she has to decide between

following her head or her heart.
