My Dream House LP Ideas Set Induction ± teacher shows a video of a very interesting house. Presentation ± teacher presents his/her own design of a house, labeled the house, say how many bedrooms, toilet etc, what are the ³ special facility´ in the house.  Eg: in my house, I have a special wardrobe to keep all my clothes and shoes etc. Focus on introducing vocabul ary related to house. Eg: Lawn, insulation , driveway etc (smtg that is new). Use pictures if necessary. Activity 1 ± Build Your Dream House tudents sit in a group. Give time (5-7mnts) for them to think of their dream house ± make a mind map of what their dream house should have. Students draw their dream house in a3 paper/mahjong paper. Students have to label their houses. State what ar e the special facilities in their houses. State why their house is difference from regular house. State why they think people should buy their house. Activity 2 ± Presentation Present their work, give around 10 minutes to each group ± everyone has to speak etc. While presenting, ask others to rate other groups house using scale 1-5. Then ask them to write whether they would buy it or not. Give a reason, one sentence only.  Eg.Rating ± 4. I would buy this house because it has a fireplace that can be changed into a secret passage. Activity 3 ±Writing Teacher demonstrate on how to write about dream house. Eg: My dream house has 15  bedrooms and 7 toilets. This is because I want to invite all my friends to live in this house. (encourage students to give reason for every statement made etc). Students have to write about their dream house. Encourage students to use as many vocabulary related to houses in their writing. Teacher pastes students work in the classroom. Other Activity ± Asking questions about others¶ dream house.
