Reflection 1

Reflect on what you have learned during the project or assignment. Include how you felt about the concept before and after the project. Did the project help you understand the material? What were your strengths and weaknesses on this assignment? Is there anything you would change if you could do it again?

Do you have any ideas for the teacher to make the project better?

Example Map Project The map project was

designed to help us learn the polygon names. We had to create a map with roads and shapes and name them correctly. There were other requirements about geometry like parallel roads and certain types of angles.

Standards Addressed: MM1G3. Students will discover,

prove, and apply properties of triangles, quadrilaterals, and other polygons.

I will learn the properties of triangles, quadrilaterals and other polygons and apply them to solve problems. Table of Content

Example Conditional Project

The conditional project was designed to help us learn conditional statements. We had to write five sentences including the statement, conditional, inverse, converse, and contrapositive. We also had to include the truth values.

Standards Addressed: MM1G2. Students will

understand and use the language of mathematical argument and justification. b. Understand and use the

relationships among a statement and its converse, inverse, and contrapositive.

I will learn to recognize and write the inverse, converse, and contrapositive for any statement and understand their truth values. Table of Content

Example Logo Project The logo project was designed to help

us learn about graphs and transformations. We had to make a picture and include the correct equations and domains and ranges to make the graphs.

Standards Addressed: MM1A1. Students will explore and

interpret the characteristics of functions, using graphs, tables, and simple algebraic techniques. b. Graph the basic functions

f(x) = xn, where n = 1 to 3, f(x) = x, f(x) = |x|, and f(x) = x1.

c. Graph transformations of basic functions including vertical shifts, stretches, and shrinks, as well as reflections across the x- and y-axes.

d. Investigate and explain the characteristics of a function: domain, range.

I will learn to graph all six parent graphs and adjust the equations for transformations like shifts, stretches, and reflections. I will also be able to give the domain and range.
