No to full info on expulsions

Late nightkebab attack

ESSEX County Council has re-fused to provide full details of school expulsions.

The Epping Forest Guardian asked how many students were permanently excluded from schools in the Epping Forest District Council area in the last two years in a Freedom of Infor-mation request.

While it revealed 12 students between Years 1, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 13 were ordered to leave schools, it would not give specif-ics.

It only said less than five stu-dents from each group were ex-pelled from Debden Park High, Epping Primary, King Harold Academy, Oak View, Roding Val-ley, Shelly and West Hatch High schools.

It said some pupils may have been expelled from more than one school during the two year period, but would not give any extra details.

The authority claims re-leasing any extra informa-tion would breach the Human Rights Act.

CCTV footage of a man has been released after two people were head-butted, punched and kicked.

The attack, near The Kebabery, High Road, Loughton, left one of them with a fractured skull and a n o t h e r with a frac-tured leg.

The man ran away af-ter the inci-dent on No-vember 27 at 1.20am.
