The dish of the month is - Trippa alla Fiorentina

Ingredients :Garlic – 1 petalBay leaf – 3 leafsBroth – 1/2 literButter – 30gCarrot – 1 Onion - 1Oil – 1/2 cup

Parmesan cheese – 100gPepper – a little bit Tomatoes (skin removed) - 300gCelery – one pieceTripe (cooked) – 1kgWhite wine – 1/2 cup

•Difficulty: Medium•Cook: 45 min•Preparation: 30 min•Portion for 4 person

Cooking with Andrea

Preparation - First, cut the tripe in slices, wash them well and drain. Peel the onion, celery and carrot, then cut these vegetables into small cubes.

Take a pan, fry the oil and butter with garlic and Bay leaf. Add the vegetables and after a few minutes add the tripe. After the tripe absorb the soup, remove the garlic, pour the white wine into the pan and let it evaporate completely.

Make the tomatoes mashed. Add the tomatoes, salt and pepper and cook it about 45 minutes. Stir occasionally and add some broth when it becomes dry.The last step, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and wait for 5 minutes. Done!

Andrea Tips!- Vegetables must be cut very thin to become soft in the end more easily. - If you don’t need to use broth, better not to use it! It will decrease the flavor of the dish.- put a lot of a lot parmesan cheese.- eat together with bread, yammy!

Story –“Trippa alla Fiorentina” comes from Florence, is one of the best known of offal recipes in Italy. The reason is not only because of the easy way to prepare, but also for its simple but strong flavor touched people’s heart so much.

We don’t know in which time the dish birth. We only know it is a popular food in Tuscany country side since ancient times. Especially in Florence, where the people there now are still appreciated the dish.

If you are planning to have a trip in Florence, don’t forget to save some times when you visit the famous “central market”. You can find the best tripe there. If you can’t have time, try it at home! Follow the Italian chef Andrea’s receipt, you can have the most traditional food on your table.

飛行員俱樂部是一群住在世界各地的好朋友一起組成的社團。這個社團的成立是從歐盟對台灣開放免簽開始 , 我們一個一個把住在國外的朋友拉進來的。我們目前的朋友大部份都分佈在歐洲 , 後來陸續也加入了美洲跟亞洲的朋友。為什麼我們會成立這個社團呢 ? 因為 , 雖然我們住在國外 , 我們的心依然向著台灣 , 也有時會想買台灣的東西 , 若自己家人太忙 , 也可以找台灣朋友幫忙買。相對的 , 台灣的朋友也可以請國外的朋友幫忙買國內買不到的東西。衍生到後 , 不管西班牙華人想買美國的東西 , 還是日本朋友想買智利的東西 , 我們都能辦到了 ! 因為 , 我們的朋友在世界各地….

在此 , 我們簡單的介紹這個社團的功能 :•代購 : 分三種 : 1. 國外居留者幫忙代購 ( 不收代購金 ) 2. 常出入境者代購 ( 只收退稅金 ) 3. 專業代購 ( 收取代購金 , 但不超過10%)•交換禮物 : 兩國因文化不同 , 有特色的產品也不同 , 交換禮物的宗旨是在花費相同之下 , 交換各國有特色的東西。例如 : 荷蘭焦糖餅乾交換義大利卡滋卡滋•我要買 : 台灣朋友可請國外朋友幫忙尋找某個在國內找不到的東西 , 還可以順便比價 , 同樣一件東西 , 義大利、法國或日本的朋友報價可能不同。•海外團購 ( 我要買 ): 台灣朋友可團購荷蘭的餅乾 , 美國朋友可團購西班牙瓜子。

鹿特丹這個創意市集 Swan Market 是依英國倫敦 Camden 區的概念來的 , Camden 市集最早源於 1974, 最主要是賣工藝品 , 但近年來由於觀光客越來越多 , 除了一些手工藝品 , 也多了很多一般產品 , 日期也從原本的周末改成每天都有。目前鹿特丹的創意市集才剛從去年開始 , 到現在僅辦了十次 , 每一或兩個月就舉辦一次 , 只有星期天一天。攤位約五十個左右 , 一個攤位租金大約 90 euros，中午十二點到下午五點。其他詳細資訊可到 : http://www.swanmarket.nl/

我們一行人八大一小 , 透過朋友得知荷蘭鹿特丹三月四號也有類似台灣的創意市集 , 二話沒說就約了一起去 ! 下面跟大家分享一下 :

Swan Market 大多的攤位這個月都以小孩為主 : 小孩的衣服、小孩的鞋子、小孩的玩具、嬰兒用品 ...




當然也有比較特別的東西 : 家用裝飾、小玩物、特製呼啦圈

吃的攤位也還不賴，有特別口味的手工餅乾 , 麵包跟蛋糕 ! 還有特製調味茶葉 ( 茶葉混花草 )!

我個人的感覺是 : 這個創意市集蠻小的 ! 產品沒有比台灣人做的有創意。( 之前去過台灣誠品外面的攤位 , 那些妹妹弟弟都做的超棒 !) 下一次鹿特丹創意市集 Swan Market 是四月五日星期天 12:00-17:00 喔 !!

For all people think Europe is so nice and full of luxury……here are some differences you may not know:

-In Europe is easier to drive in the road since is not that busy but at least petrol prices in Taiwan are really affordable compared to European prices, petrol price in Europe is up to 3 or 4 times Taiwan prices.

-In Europe eating or dinning outside from your home, is something very rare and special, because it is very expensive. In Taiwan you can have food any time of the day, for very low price and very good overall.

-In Europe people and families really spend time indoor, because normally weather is not very good, and if it’s raining, people don’t go out. In Taiwan people spend long time outside and even if it’s raining they don’t change schedule.

-Hospitals are good but they are very expensive, the national health care system is really expensive to maintain and each person really has to pay a lot.

-In Taiwan you can find many many choices regarding food. In Europe the offer is very limited and is really difficult to find something exotic like vegetarian restaurant, Indian, Korean or Thailand.

-The streets are much more vivid in Taiwan and more sad and quiet in Europe, that’s good if you have some age, but if you are young, it is kind of sad.

So everything has a bright and a dark side, Taiwan has many Brigth sides!
