MY MIDNIGHT TALK WITH ALLAH

O Allah Creator of Heavens and Earth! I seek Your Refuge from the Accursed

Satan! Allah! In the hours of darkness while most of fellow beings are slumbering,

with Your Blessing and Mercy I found this apposite moment, in Your Name O Allah!

The Most Benevolent and Most Merciful, to light a candle of Your Veneration to

eradicate the darkness of my soul and make supplication before You. O Knower of

the Secrets! I affirm that You are aware of the secrets suppressed deep in my heart

and You know me in and out, there is nothing concealed from You. I am in my

solitude with my soul cloaked in a gloom, attributable to my slackness to reach out to

You instead of viciously tracking my pursuits in life. With a belief and trust, that You

listen to every Suppliant of Yours, I endeavour to talk to You in the quiet of night. O

Creator of Heavens and Earth I read Your Book, full of wisdom and knowledge, and

acquired acuity to whimper a bit before You, abandoning all my thoughts and qualms.

Allah! Accept my gratitude and praises in Your Honour and Peace and Salutations for

Your Apostle up to the extents of the universe or more than that.

Despite my worthlessness in comprehension of Your Magnificence, I yearn for

praising You but I know it is not achievable for me to say something befitting Your

Majesty. To You belong all things in Heavens and Earth: verily you are free of all

wants worthy of all praise. And if all the trees on Earth were pens and the Ocean,

were ink, with seven Oceans behind it to add to its supply yet Your Words would not

be exhausted, in the writing: for You are Exalted in power Full of Wisdom. Glory to

You, the Lord of the Heavens and the Earth the Lord of the Throne of Authority! Free

from any blemish. Accept Your Praises, from me, befitting Your Majesty.

Allah! There is no god but You. To You be praise at the first and at the last: for

You is the Command and to You shall we all be brought back. O My Lord! Advance

me in knowledge, bestow wisdom on me and join me with the righteous. O My Lord!

Expand me my breast; Ease my task for me; and remove the impediment from my

speech. So that people may understand what I say.

O Allah! No eye has the power to see You, no genius or intellect can ever

comprehend Your Authority. You are as Great as You Yourself told, You are One and

Only, the Eternal Absolute, You do not beget nor You are begotten and there is none

like You. Allah! There is no god but You the living the Self-Subsisting Eternal. No

slumber can seize You nor sleep. Yours are All Things in the Heavens and on Earth.

Who is there who can intercede in Your Presence except as You permit? You know

what appears, to Your Creatures as, before or after or behind them. Nor shall they

compass aught of Your Knowledge except as You will. Your Throne does extend over

the Heavens and the Earth and You feel no fatigue in guarding and preserving them.

For You are the Most High the Supreme in glory. You created the Heavens and the

Earth in six Days and firmly established Your Throne of Authority. You know what

enters within the Earth and what comes forth out of it what comes down from Heaven

and what mounts up to it. And You are with us where so ever we may be. And You

observe exactly, all that we do. And all affairs are referred back to You. And You have

absolute knowledge of the secrets of all hearts. O Our Lord You send the winds as

heralds of glad tidings going before Your Mercy and You send down purifying water

from the sky and with it You give life to a dead land and slake the thirst of living

beings that You have created in great numbers.

Our Lord! You are the Lord of the Heavens and the Earth: never shall we call

upon any god other than You: if we did; we should indeed have uttered an enormity!

We serve You with sincere devotion; And want to be the first of those who bow to

You in submission. Our Lord! We believe in what You have revealed and we follow

the Apostle; write us down among those who bear witness. And we are sincere, in

our faith, in You.

Allah! There is no god but You the Living the Self-Subsisting Eternal. It is You

who sent down the True Book confirming what went before it; and You sent down

Law, Of Moses, and the Gospel, of Jesus, before this as a guide to mankind and You

sent down the Criterion, of judgment between right and wrong. You are Exalted in

Might and Lord of Retribution. Verily from You nothing is hidden on Earth or in the

Heavens. You are the one, Who shapes humans in the wombs as You please. There is

no god but You the Exalted in Might the Wise. Allah! You Created Heavens and Earth,

You made Constellations in the skies and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving

light; You created the Sun the Moon and the Stars. These all are governed by laws

under Your Command. Allah! You are Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds! To You

belongs the Command of the entire universe.

Allah! If You decide to bless me, no one on Earth or in the Heavens can impede

Your Blessings on me and if You decide to stop Your Blessings on me, no one on

Earth or in the Heavens can grant me except You. You have power over all things.

Allah! If You decide to show me the straight path and keep me thereon, no one on

Earth or in the Heavens can lead me astray. And if You decide to let me go astray,

due to my maladies, there is no one on Earth or in the Heavens to help me except

You. Allah! I believe in You, Your Angels, Your Books, Your Apostles, on good or bad

destiny being from You and on resurrection after death. Allah! I believe in You with all

Your Beautiful Names and Attributes from the core of my heart and I do proclaim it

candidly.

Allah! I turn my face in complete devotion to You, Who is the Originator of

Heaven and Earth and I am not of the polytheists. Verily my prayer, my sacrifice, my

life and my death are for You, the Lord of the Worlds. There is no partner with You;

this is what I have been commanded to profess and believe and I am of the believers.

O Allah, You are the Ruler, there is no god but You, You are My Lord, and I am Your

Bondsman. I wronged myself and make a confession of my sins. Forgive all my sins,

for no one forgives the sins but You, and guide me in the best conduct for none but

You guide anyone in good conduct. Remove sins from me, for no one else but You

can remove sins from me. Here I am at Your Service, and Grace is to You and the

whole of good is in Your Hand, and one cannot come close to You through evil. My

power as well as existence is due to You and I turn to You for supplication, You are

Blessed and You are Exalted. I seek forgiveness from You and turn to You in

repentance. O Allah, it is for You that I bow. I affirm my faith in You, I submit to You,

and submit humbly before You my hearing, my eyesight, my bones, my sinews. O

Allah, Our Lord, praise is due to You, the praise which fills the Heavens and Earth,

and which fills that space which exists between them, and fills anything that You

desire afterwards. O Allah, it is to You that I prostrate myself, it is in You that I affirm

my faith, and I submit to You. My face is submitted before One Who created it,

shaped it and opened his faculties of hearing and seeing. Blessed are You, the best

of Creators. Forgive me the earlier and later, open and secret sins, and where I have

transgressed and that You know better than I. You are the First and the Last. There is

no god but You.

Allah! There is no other god besides You. You are the sovereign the Holy One

the Source of Peace and Perfection. The Guardian of Faith the Preserver of Safety the

Exalted in Might the Irresistible the Supreme: Glory to You! High are You above the

partners to be associated with You, or sons and daughters be attributed to You.

Blessed is the name of Our Lord full of Majesty Bounty and Honour. Allah! We are not

amongst those who say: "Allah the Most Gracious has begotten a son!" Indeed, those

who say that, they put forth a thing exceedingly horrible! At it the skies are ready to

burst the Earth to split asunder and the mountains to fall down in absolute ruin that

they invoke a son for Allah, Most Gracious. It is not consonant with Your Majesty,

that You should beget a son. To You is due the primal origin of the Heavens and the

Earth: You are free from having offspring and consort! You created all things and You

have absolute knowledge of everything. We don’t commit excesses by saying

"Trinity": for You are One Allah: glory to You! To You belong everything in the

Heavens and on Earth. And enough are You as a Disposer of affairs. We celebrate

Your Praises standing sitting and lying down and contemplate the wonders of

creation in the Heavens and the Earth, with the thought: "Our Lord! not for naught

have You created all this! Glory to You! give us salvation from the penalty of the fire.

It is You Who has made for us the Earth as a resting place and the Sky as a canopy

and has given us shapes and made our shapes beautiful and has provided for us,

sustenance of things pure and good such are You! Our Lord! So Glory to You the

Lord of the Worlds”.

O Allah! Lord of Power and Rule You give Power to whom You please and You

strip off power from whom You please You end with honour whom You please and

You bring low whom You please; in Your Hand is all good. Verily over all things You

have power. You cause the night to gain on the day and You cause the day to gain on

the night; You bring the living out of the dead and You bring the dead out of the

living; and You give sustenance to whom You please without measure. Whatever is in

the Heavens and on Earth does declare Your Praises and Glory! To You belongs

Dominance and to You belongs Praise: and You have power over all things. You are

the Highest in Might the Wise. To You belongs the Command of the Heavens and the

Earth; it is You Who gives life and death; and You have Power over all things. You are

the First and the Last the Evident and the Immanent: and You have the knowledge of

everything.

Allah! You created us from a drop to a seeing, hearing and a feeling human

being. Allah You are the best creator. To You belong the invisible secrets of the

Heavens and the Earth and to You goes back every affair for decision: we worship

You and put our trust in You: and You are not unmindful of aught that we do. It is You

who have sent Your Apostle with Guidance and the Religion of Truth to proclaim it

over all religions: and enough are You for a Witness. In the days of our ignorance and

darkness, Our Lord! We heard the call of Your Apostle, the one calling us to faith,

“Believe in the Lord” and we have believed. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins blot out

from us our iniquities and take to Yourself our souls in the company of the righteous.

Our Lord! Grant us what You did promise unto us through Your Apostles and save us

from shame on the Day of Judgment: for You never break Your Promise. Our Lord we

cherish Your Assurance that You gave us through Your Apostle, “When my servants

ask You concerning Me I am indeed close to them; I listen to the prayer of every

suppliant when he calls Me; let them also with a will listen to My call and believe in

Me; that they may walk in the right way”. We trust your Words O Our Lord for Your

Word is always true beyond reproach. We celebrate Your Praises and we are amongst

those who prostrate themselves in adoration.

Praise be to You the Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds! Most Gracious

Most Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment. You do we worship and Your Aid we

seek. Show us the straight way. The way of those on whom You have bestowed Your

Grace Those whose portion is not wrath and who go not astray. Allah! You are the

Light of the Heavens and the Earth. The parable of Your Light is as if there were a

niche and within it a lamp: the lamp enclosed in glass: the glass as it were a brilliant

star: lit from a blessed tree an olive neither of the East nor of the West whose Oil is

well-nigh luminous though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah! You guide

whom You will to Your Light. Allah! The Sun, the Moon and the Universe are Your

Creations I beseech You to guide me to Your Way: Unless You guide me I shall surely

be among those who go astray.

Allah! You have purchased of the believers their persons and their good; for in

return of Paradise: O Allah! I offer myself for that bargain! Acquire me for a price of

Your Choice and for a job of Your Liking but make me Your Possession I would

rejoice in the bargain which I conclude with You: that is the achievement supreme. O

Our Lord! Make me one of those who witness no falsehood and if they pass by futility

they pass by it with honourable avoidance; Those who when they are admonished

with the Signs of their Lord droop not down at them as if they were deaf or blind: And

those who pray "Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort

of our eyes and give us the grace to lead the righteous”. Allah! Make me one of those

who are the ones who will be rewarded with the highest place in Heaven because of

their patient constancy; and therein who shall be met with salutations and peace.

O Our Lord! Truly You are Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, You know

what we conceal deep in our hearts and what we reveal: for nothing whatever is

hidden from You, whether on Earth , in Heaven or in the darkest corners of our

hearts. Our Lord! You can reach out to the utmost recesses of things by Your

Knowledge. Allah! I know If there be the weight of a mustard-seed and it were hidden

in a rock or anywhere in the Heavens or Earth, You will bring it forth: for You

understand the finest mysteries and are well-acquainted with them. Allah! Make me

one of those who establish regular prayer enjoin what is just and forbid what is

wrong: and bear with patient constancy whatever betide them; for this is firmness of

purpose in the conduct of affairs. And make me one of those who do not swell their

cheek for pride at men nor walk in insolence through the Earth; for You do not love

arrogant boaster. And those who remain moderate in their pace and lower their voice;

for the harshest of sounds without doubt is the braying of the ass. Allah! You have

subjected to our use all things in the Heavens and on Earth and have made Your

Bounties flow to us in exceeding measure both seen and unseen? Yet there are

among men those who dispute about You without knowledge and without guidance

and without a book to enlighten them! Allah! We say to those who dispute that: “We

have submitted our whole self to Allah and so have those who follow Apostle”. Allah!

You are most Gracious: we have believed in You and on You have we put our trust:

so soon will, those who dispute, know which of us is in manifest error. Allah! You

know all that is in Heavens and Earth. You unmistakably know what we hide in core

of our hearts. Allah You know that amongst People of the book there are some who

when listen to the revelation received by the Apostle, their eyes are seen overflowing

with tears for they recognize the truth: they pray: "Our Lord! We believe; write us

down among the witnesses”. And when Your Message is recited to them, they fall

down on their faces in humble prostration. Allah! Show them Your Light and

guidance. Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren, followers of Your Apostles, who

came before us into the Faith and leave not in our hearts rancour or sense of injury

against those who have believed Our Lord! You are indeed Full of Kindness, Most

Merciful.

Allah! You are well acquainted with the people who consume Your Provisions

but they neither believe in You nor Your Apostle on the contrary they commit the acts

of blasphemy. Allah! We complain our distress and anguish to You alone! Enough are

You for a witness between us and them: for You are well-acquainted with Your

Servants and You see all things. We shall certainly bear with patience all the hurt the

blasphemers may cause us. Allah! Guide those who blaspheme, to the straight path.

Allah! Knower of all the things, if they do not follow Your Guidance, then confine their

repugnance to their souls and save us from the hurt and anguish they cause us.

Glory to Our Lord the Lord of Honour and Power! Who is free from what they ascribe

to Him! And Peace on the Apostles! And praise to Allah the Lord and Cherisher of the

Worlds.

Allah! You grant wisdom to whom You please; and he to whom wisdom is

granted receive indeed a benefit overflowing; but none will grasp the message but

men of understanding. Our Lord! Bestow on us Mercy from Yourself and dispose of

our affair for us in the right way! Our Lord! let not our hearts deviate now after You

have guided us but grant us mercy from Your Own Presence; for You are the Grantor

of bounties without measure. Our Lord! Let lure of love of the joys from women and

offspring, and stored up heaps of gold and silver, and horses branded with their

mark, and cattle and land and comforts of the life of the world not deviate us from

You. Our Lord! Let our fathers, and our sons, and our brethren, and our wives, and

our tribe, and the wealth we have acquired, and merchandise for which we fear

recession and dwellings we desire, not become dearer to us than You, Your

Messenger and striving in Your Way.

Allah! You are the one who gave us hope by saying: "O my Servants who have

transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives

all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful. And Your Promise is certainty beyond

reproach. Allah! We put our trust in You Who lives and dies not; and celebrate Your

Praise; and enough are You to be acquainted with the faults of Your Servants. Allah!

You gave us eyes to see but we saw wrong things! You gave us ears to listen but we

listened what we were not supposed to! You gave us strength we misused it! You

gave us wisdom but we remained egoistic! You gave us wealth but we used it for our

interests only and for depriving others from their wealth through interest and usury!

You blessed us with Your Bounties but we became arrogant You taught us to speak

but we hurt others with our words. You tried us every now and then, and You asked

the mankind, “O man! what has seduced you from your Lord Most Beneficent” but

we fail to pay any heed and we did not turn to You in repentance and we attained the

pinnacle of transgression. There is no god but You: Glory to You: We were indeed

wrong! O Our Lord! We have indeed wronged Our souls! Forgive us! For You are the

Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful. O Our Lord! grant Your Forgiveness and Mercy! for You

are the Best of those who show mercy. Glory to You! To You we turn in repentance.

Allah! We believe in You, Your Angels, Your Books and Your Apostles We

make no distinction between one and another of Your Apostles. We hear and we

obey; we seek Your Forgiveness Our Lord and to You is the end of all journeys. Our

Lord! Do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord! Do not place on us a

burden as You placed on those before us. Our Lord! Lay not on us the kind of burden

that we have no strength to bear. Pardon us, forgive us, have mercy on us. You are

our Protector, help us against the unbelievers.

O My Lord! I do seek refuge with You lest I ask You for that of which I have no

knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have Mercy on me I should indeed be

lost! O My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the suggestions of the Evil Ones; And I

seek refuge with You, O My Lord, lest they should come near me. Our Lord! Make us

not a trial for those who practice oppression; And deliver us by Your Mercy from

those who reject You. O Creator of the Heavens and the Earth! You are my Protector

in this world and in the hereafter take my soul at death as one submitting to Your Will

as a Muslim and unite me with the righteous. I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn.

From the mischief of created things; from the mischief of darkness as it overspreads;

from the mischief of those who practice Secret arts; And from the mischief of the

envious one as he practices envy. I seek refuge with the Lord and Cherisher of

Mankind. The Ruler of Mankind. The Real God of Mankind. From the mischief of the

whisperer of evil who withdraws after his whisper. The same who whispers into the

hearts of mankind among Jinns and among men.

Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our

eyes and give us the grace to lead the righteous. Our Lord! Make of us Muslims

bowing to Your Will and of our progeny a people Muslim bowing to Your Will and

show us our places for the celebration of due rites; and turn unto us in mercy; for

You are the Oft-Returning Most-Merciful. O Our Lord! Make us one who establishes

regular Prayer and also raise such among our offspring O Our Lord! And accept our

Prayer. O Our Lord! Cover us with Your Forgiveness, us, our parents and all

Believers on the Day that the reckoning will be established!

Allah! You have enjoined on man Kindness to his parents: O Our Lord! grant

us that we may be grateful for Your Favour which You have bestowed upon us and

upon both our parents and that we may work righteousness such as You may

approve; and be gracious to us in our issues. Truly we have turned to You and truly

do we bow to You, in Islam. My Lord! Bestow on our parents Your Mercy even as they

cherished us in childhood. O Our Lord! Forgive us, our parents all who enter our

houses in Faith and all believing men and believing women.

Allah! Ordain for us that which is good in this life and in the hereafter: for we

have turned unto You. Allah! with Your Punishment You visit whom You will; but

Your Mercy extends to all things. You grant mercy for those who do right and

practice regular charity and those who believe in Your Signs. Our Lord! Give us good

in this world and good in the hereafter and defend us from the torment on the fire!

O Our Lord! The revelation of the Book is from You who is Exalted in Power

Full of Knowledge. Who forgives sin, accepts repentance, is strict in punishment and

has a long reach in all things. Our Lord! Your Reach is over all things in Mercy and

Knowledge. Forgive then those who turn in repentance and follow Your Path: and

preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire! And grant Our Lord! That they

enter the Gardens of Eternity which You have promised to them and to the righteous

among their fathers their wives and their posterity! For You are the Exalted in Might

Full of Wisdom. And preserve them from all ills; and any whom You preserve from ills

That Day, on them You have bestowed Mercy indeed: and that will be truly for them

the highest achievement.

Allah! You have warned us through Your Apostle that one day we will be

standing before You elucidating our deeds. Our tongues would be hushed and our

limbs would be witness against us. Allah! We fear you! For the convulsion of the

Hour of Judgment will be a thing terrible! The Day we shall see it every mother giving

suck shall forget her suckling-baby and every pregnant female shall drop her load

unformed: we shall see mankind as in a drunken riot yet not drunk: but dreadful will

be Your Wrath.

Allah! We believe that after we are dead You can give us life again You can

assemble our bones and You are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of

our fingers. Allah! We are not amongst the ones who question: "When is the Day of

Resurrection?" We believe that, when the sight is dazed and the Moon is buried in

darkness. And the Sun and Moon are joined together .That Day will man say "Where

is the refuge?" By no means! No place of safety! Before Our Lord alone, That Day,

will be the place of rest. That Day man will be told all that he put forward and all that

he put back. Man will be evidence against himself even though he were to put up his

excuses. Some faces That Day will beam, in brightness and beauty, looking towards

their Lord; And some faces That Day will be sad and dismal In the thought that some

back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; Yea when the soul reaches

to the collar-bone in its exit. And there will be a cry "Who is a magician to restore

him?" And man will conclude that it was the time of parting; and one leg will be

joined with another: That Day the Drive will be all to Our Lord!

That Day the wrongdoer will bite at his hands He will say "Oh! Would that I had

taken a straight path with the Apostle! Ah! Woe is me! Would that I had never taken

such a one for a friend! He did lead me astray from the Message of Allah after it had

come to me! Ah! The Evil One is but a traitor to man” What a darkness of soul and

despair would it be.

That Day we shall be brought to Judgment: not an act of ours that we hide will

be hidden. Then he that will be given his record in his right hand will say: "Ah here!

Read my record! I did really understand that my account would one day reach me!"

And he will be in a life of bliss. In a Garden on High. The Fruits whereof will hang in

bunches low and near. He would be in peace he shall eat and drink with full

satisfaction; because of the good that he sent before him in the days that are gone.

And he that will be given his record in his left hand will say: "Ah! Would that my

record had not been given to me! And that I had never realized how my account

stood! Ah! Would that death had made an end of me! Of no profit to me has been my

wealth! My power has perished from me!"

O My Lord! We trust in what You say that, “And for such as had entertained the

fear of standing before their Lord's tribunal and had restrained their soul from lower

Desires Their abode will be the Garden”. Allah! You are the one, Who created us and

it is You Who guides us; Who gives us food and drink. And when we are ill it is You

Who cures us; Who will cause us to die and then to live again; And Who we hope will

forgive us our faults on the Day of Judgment.

Glory to Our Lord! Verily we have been doing wrong! Our Lord! We have

indeed believed: forgive us then our sins and save us from the agony of the fire. Our

Lord! Remove the Penalty from us! Our Lord! Avert from us the Wrath of Hell for its

Wrath is indeed an affliction grievous. Allah! You have said in Your Book that You

have inscribed for Yourself the rule of Mercy.

Allah! Every soul shall taste death. Allah! While we are busy in the worldly affairs,

You know the time appointed for us to die and You know the place of our graves,

Allah! We are only few hours away from our graves where we would be buried

abandoning all our belongings, our nearest and dearest, and our pursuits. Our Lord!

When our time comes let us, with Your Mercy and Blessings, be amongst the

righteous souls who are addressed by You "O You soul, in complete rest and

satisfaction! Come back to Your Lord well pleased, Yourself, and well-pleasing unto

Your Lord! Enter then among my Devotees! Enter in my Heaven"

Allah! Forgive us and enter us in paradise where You shall remove from our

hearts any lurking sense of injury; beneath us will be rivers flowing; and we shall say:

“Praise be to Allah Who has guided us to this felicity: never could we have found

guidance had it not been for the guidance of Allah: indeed it was the truth that the

Apostles of Our Lord brought unto us." And we shall hear the cry: "Behold! The

garden before you! You have been made its inheritors for your deeds of

righteousness.”

Allah! For the kindness and love for humankind You sent Your Apostle, as a

mercy for the universe, with a divine revelation, guidance and a true religion to lead

the humankind from the darkness of ignorance to the light in keeping with Your

Commandments. Allah! You sent Your Apostle to teach humankind the revelation,

wisdom, Your Signs and for purification of our souls. Allah! Accept our gratitude on

Your Benevolence and Kindness, that You have shown us light through Your Apostle.

Allah Your Apostle has conveyed Your Message to the humankind he left with us

Your Book and lead an exemplary life to be followed. Allah! Your Apostle had been

praying for us day and night and he has been asking Your Forgiveness for us. Allah!

Your Apostle never forgot us even at the time of his meeting with You, during his

journey to the Heavens where he asked Your Mercy for us. Allah! If You forgive us, on

the Day of Judgment, and let us enter in Your Paradise without opening our account

of deeds, surely You have power to do so and You are Oft-Forgiving and Most

Merciful, but if You decide to open our record Allah! Our account would not suffice

on the Day of Judgment. What an ignominy would it be! Allah! If You decide to open

our record, we beseech that You do it away from the sight of Your Apostle because it

grieves him that we should perish: ardently anxious is he over us: to the believers is

he most kind and merciful, the immense humiliation of not following the teachings of

Your Apostle would not let us look at the kind and compassionate face of Your

Apostle.

Our Lord! Accept our gratitude for Your Trust in Your Servants despite the

surmise of Angels for spreading mischief, causing bloodshed and defiance by Satan

to bow down, and his vow to hoodwink Your Creation. Allah! Save us from the

incitement of Satan! Our Lord! Pour out on us patience and constancy and take our

souls unto You as Muslims who bow to Your Will! And reckon us amongst those who

uphold Your Trust in humankind.

O Allah! It is You who makes the dawn break and makes the night a time for

rest and appoints the Sun and Moon to reckon by. Relieve me of debt and enrich me

from poverty and let me enjoy my hearing, my sight and my strength in Your Way.

O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the torment of Hell, and I seek refuge in You

from the trial of the Dajjal, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of life and death.

O Allah! You have said, 'call on Me - I will answer you' and You do not break

Your Promise. So I am asking You, in the same way that You have guided me to

Islam, not to take it away from me, and that You make me die while I am Muslim.

O Our Lord! Fill my heart with kindness and mercy for Your Creation, You are

the best to take care of us and You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy!

Allah! I have never been unblessed, O My Lord, in my supplications to You.

Glory to Our Lord the Lord of Honour and Power! Who is free from what the non-

believers ascribe to Him! And Peace on the Apostles! And praise to Allah the Lord

and Cherisher of the Worlds.
