HELP A STUDENT START THE YEAR OFF RIGHT

OPERATION BACKPACK 2013

This year, ArcelorMittal Hamilton East, the United Steelworkers, the Women Of Steel and MJI Marketing Solutions have teamed up to fill 350 backpacks.

As of today Operation Backpack has committed funds from:

ArcelorMittal Hamilton East/Corporate $5,000

United Steelworkers, Local 5328 $ TBD

United Steelworkers Area Council $ 600

Women Of Steel $1,000

Total $6,600

MJI Marketing Solutions has generously provided all the supplies at cost and this year that offsets the cost of the backpacks by $2500.

St. Matthew’s House is also a partner this year. They will be working with schools and agencies to ensure the backpacks go to those children who are in need.

The total funds required to fill the backpacks is $9,500 so as of today we have a $2900 shortfall. It is a big challenge and here’s how you can help.
