The AZTransfer Steering Committee, an organization of academic leaders, supports successful transfer of credits and degree completion for students in all public and tribal postsecondary institutions in Arizona.

• 495 survey participants from institutions statewide.• 77% of respondents were faculty• 46% indicated they were a faculty member with advising

responsibilities.• General satisfaction of AZTransfer and APASC is strong,

yet AZTransfer is slightly higher.• Transfer system strengths: guaranteed course transfer,

creates consistency/standardization.• Weaknesses: lack of student familiarity, inconsistent

academic rigor between community colleges and universities

• Arizona’s transfer system has made productivity gains since 2006, but advancements are incremental.

• Formalized organizational structures need authority to foster consistency and press for statewide accountability

• Awareness, training, and student advising support is vital to ensure students receive consistent guidance.

• Strong communications and easy to access web-based resources are prudent.

• Refine operating procedures to support the growing and maturing transfer system.

• Create a uniform AGEC standard and automatically confer the credential.
