For many it’s singing, playing a musical instrument or entrepreneurship, but for Nastashia Mitchell, it’s simply just being beautiful and not afraid to show it. Discovered at the age of sev-enteen by the Kingsley Cooper run Pulse International, Nastashia has only gotten better and better at her gift over the years. She entered the Caribbean Model Search competition that was produced by Pulse, with very little experience or knowledge about the art of modelling. Re-markably, she finished fifth. That is, fifth out ofsome thousands of young ladies who bombard-ed Caribbean Model search that year with the dream of becoming the next Tyra Banks. From then on, her skills have been honed by the Pulse Team.

As if it wasn’t enough to be signed to one of the Caribbean’s top model agency, the universe had much more in store for Nas. She was one day gliding through the streets of New Yorkwhen she was spotted and recruited by New York’s TV show; “Scouted”…. How did that hap-pen? “Well, I am always looking my best when I step through my doors. Always struttingmy high heels and make-up is always up to par,” she said.

Today, Nas is not only still signed to Pulse International, who afforded her the opportunity to catwalk on the runways of three consecutive Caribbean Fashion Weeks but she has alsobeen the face of advertising campaigns done by Digicel, Guinness, Axe, to name a few as she ventures into the business of promotional modelling/brand ambassador.It doesn’t stop there at all. Nas found herself being featured in several local music videos for artistes such as Sizzla, Jah Vinci, I-Octane and G-whizz. Her face has also appeared in an inter-national music video for the chart topping “Man Down” by the Caribbean’s sweetheart Rihan-na. Her talent in front of the video camera was further exposed when she made an appearance in the popular local TV series – “The Ity and Fancy Cat Show” as the character ‘Michelle.’

She has modelled designs by some of the Caribbeans most renowned designers such as Ash-ley Martin, Cidella Manley, Biggy among others and was recently featured in The Gleaners Ever Blazing fashion magazine. Some of the Caribbeans best photographers have done shoots with Nas. Namely; William Richards, Roger Jones, Dash Productions.

Video, photography, brand image, fashion...Nas has the gift to make any photographer or designer very pleased. She has the face and the personality to promote any brand and she certainly has the experience in doing so. As she matures as a model and as a Jamaican woman, Nas can only become better at what she does – a super model in the making.
