NATUS low voltage busduct system:POWERLINE is setting new innovative standardsNATUS has been delivering power supply systems for decades. We are making the distribution of power in low voltage networks even safer by connecting ourENERGON system with innovative solutions like the cast-resin bus-duct system POWERLINE and our transformer POWERBLOCK.

The compact POWERLINE cast-resin busduct complies with the protection rating IP68 and is a low independence busbar trunking system that offers a compact, cost efficient and flexible alternative to cables when installing high power distribution systems between 630A – 6300A up to 1000V.

The POWERLINE system has a compact dimension of 100 mm x380mm when it connects a transformer or generator set with a rating of 4000A/2500MVA to ourswitch gear ENERGON or any othersub-distribution board in the safest way.

POWERLINE is manufactured under the concept of direct encap-sulation of copper or aluminium conductors with an insulation ofcompound “cast-resin” that con-sists of epoxy-resin mixed with a high content of selected inert mineral fillers.

The entire system is halogen free, non-flammable and emits no toxic gases. Excellent electromechanicalcharacteristics are given thanks to the system’s design.

Compared to other cast-resin bus-duct systems, the POWERLINEsystem has a modular connection design that allows quick and trou-ble-free assembly and disassembly.

The system can be easily modified by replacing or adding components to handle decreased or increased circuit loads.

Removable connectionPOWERLINE busducts implement a modular connection design that allows quick and trouble-free assembly and disassembly. The patented connection is very reliable thanks to its fixed torque screws and foolproof design. The removable joint complies with the protection rating IP68.

Plug-in unitsPlug-in units coupled with NATUS cast-resin busduct systems enable operators to decrease or expand load capacity at any time without interrupting power transmission. The unit’s features include easy installation as well as safe operation and high flexibility. Tap off boxes can be installed up to 1250A as plug-in version, up to 2000A as bold on version without power interruption.

NATUS POWERLINE applicationsTransformer/SwitchgearPOWERLINE is connected to the switchgear/transformer by movablejoint stacks that are easy to dis-assemble and operate. One canaccommodate changes in the power transmission system and power supply circuits simply by dismantling the unit in questionand not the entire section. Thisallows an easy and fast replace-ment of busduct components and reduces the down times. Double screw connections provide a greater and consistent distribution of pressure force on the tin plated copper surface of the connector, thus achieving a reliable connection between the busduct and switchgear/ transformer. This design also assures the reliable functioning of the connections even after long- term usage.

Industrial Power DistributionPlug-in units and plug-on cabinets enable the continuous power sup-ply during load changes thus pre-venting production stops. The plug-in unit components can be fur-nished with a number of slots allin accordance with the customer’s demands. These slots make the addition of plug-in units and plug-oncabinets possible without disturb-ing the power supply. The plug-in unit is cost efficient and its design provides flexibility, adaptability and an easy assembly. The plug-in units have a capacity of 100A – 630A and the protection rating IP42/IP54. In addition to the plug-in units and plug-on cabinets, bolt-on units are also available with a capacity up to 2000 A. All in all, a real plug and play power distribution.

Commercial Power DistributionPOWERLINE is the flexible distri-bution concept in modern build-ings. POWERLINE supplies energy to all floors in modern buildings –starting from the main power sta-tion in the basement all the way to the top of the building. In addi-tion to building communication systems, the busduct is the per-fect solution for the most flexible power supply.

POWERLINE is a real plug and play solution due to its plug-in openings on every floor. Power supply demands can be changed in a short time without interruption.Even redundant supply concepts are very easy to carry out. Personalsafety and fire protection are veryimportant, especially when it comes to commercial buildings.
