1 NEBOSH National General Certificate - Controlling Workplace Hazards &Health &Safety Practical Application (NGC2 &NGC3) About the programme The qualification is divided into two units, controlling hazards in the workplace (NGC2) and a practical application in the workplace (NGC3). The programme is usually delivered over one day per week, however, it can be tailored to suit company requirements when delivered as a customised course. Who is it aimed at? It is aimed at managers, supervisors and employees from all types of organisations to enable them to develop a broad understanding of the key health and safety issues. It will also provide the knowledge and understanding to deal with health and safety issues faced within organisations. Course content NGC2:- Workplace hazards and risk control Transport hazards and risk control Musculoskeletal hazards and risk control Work equipment hazards and risk control Electrical safety Fire safety Chemical and biological health hazards and risk control Physical and psychological health hazards and risk control. NGC3:- This is a practical assessment to show the application of knowledge and understanding gained in the other two units. Entry requirements Delegates must have completed the Nebosh health and safety management (NGC1) paper.
