The Cascading Star Architecture is an incremental rollout solution that separates the macro coverage layer from spotted coverage. It poses low risk to internet service providers in areas where traditional broadband cannot offer a solution to the problem with an acceptable return on investment. It features an adapted hub-and-spoke design, optimized for rural deployments. It provides an extremely low-cost approach to enter a new rural market, and then scale up as demand grows.

The key elements in a Rural Wi-Fi rollout are:

Base Station Unit (BSU)-2100: One Sector High Capacity Base Station

Shyam’s compact, ruggedized and lightweight unit deploys OFDM/2x2 MiMO

for each tier it implements, with connectors for external antenna and built-in

support for copper interface.

Remote Subscriber Units (RSU) with Integrated High Gain MiMO Antenna This compact and lightweight unit features an integrated high gain 2x2

MiMO antenna and is available in three capacities: 10 Mbps, 20 Mbps

and 50 Mbps.

Remote Subscriber Units (RSU) With External Higher Gain MiMO Antenna

Shyam’s compact, lightweight unit features connectors for an external higher gain

2x2 MiMO antenna for longer range and is available in three capacities: 10 Mbps,

20 Mbps and 50 Mbps.

COmPONENTSThe Rural Broadband Solution consists of a high capacity Base Station Unit (BSU) and a variety of high capacity Remote Subscriber

Units (RSU). All outdoor units are IP67 compliant enabling their deployment even in harsh environmental conditions, support multiple

frequency bands (1.5 GHz to 6 GHz) for flexible radio planning and comply to various radio and safety regulations including ETSI,

FCC, IC and WPC (India).

CAP25: Single-Sector High Capacity Base Station

This compact, ruggedized and lightweight carrier grade unit deploys OFDM/2x2 MiMO

for each tier it implements, with connectors for external antenna and built-in support

for copper interfaces.

High Capacity, Broadband Outdoor Customer Premises Equipment (CPE)

Shyam’s Agni Wi-Fi Extender delivers superior performance backed by innovative design

and advanced radio architecture, coupled with advanced firmware technology that

delivers high throughput, stability and capacity performance. Shyam offers Ethernet

connectivity for extending coverage to your premises affordably. The same unit can be

used for P2P backhaul with narrow beamwidth antenna.
