Features atypical of an Embassy Suites Hotel or of competitor hotels:Scheduled to open in September of 2009, the new Embassy Suites Columbus – Airport will be a departure from the traditional Embassy Suites Hotel. The hotel boasts the brand’s signature atrium, but it is located at the front of the hotel with the rooms towers attached, rather than at the center of the property. The three-story atrium features check-in pods rather than a traditional high barrier front desk, ample natural light and a specially designed waterfall. The hotel’s suite designs have a more residential feel and feature a side-by-side layout. The layout allows daylight into both the living room and bedroom, compared to the moretraditional shotgun, front-to-back suite design.
