“I like to get up when most people are sleeping. Often driving for hours into the wilderness, in the rain, the snow, heat, and inclement weather. I frequently stumble in the dark, fall in rivers, drive in circles and get lost in my search for the best light and subject nature has to offer.” With an unbridled passion for landscape and wilderness photography Joshua Holko has traversed many remote corners of the globe. His vision is to capture this essence of nature, whilst retaining subtle detail, clarity, and all the stunning colour of the natural world. These images clearly embrace the ‘Spectacular play of light that Iceland is famous for.’ Josh believes you have to be out there hunting for that unforgettable image and being ‘out there’ with his camera is what he enjoys most of all.

DAVID MITCHENERDavid has a voracious appetite for exploration. His camera captures a contemporary view of ancient life that infuses the viewer with a desire to explore further with him. It’s the humble side of the road he shows us. If we were to cross the street there would be an enormous view. He likes to document the quirky and make it majestic; a big splash, a small blue Volkswagon, 44 gallon drum or the graphic play of colour and light. Whatever his subject it is always about detail, texture and the panoramic realm of the unexpected.

SCOTT NEWETTScott’s body of work is best described as hyper-real. He is curious and creative. Using high key colours, shadows and warped perspectives he achieves unreal fantasy worlds that are not fabricated digitally. These worlds are dark and nearby, a close encounter with failure is often around the corner. With each photograph something is not quite right. Despite being ‘ready for action’ on stunt bikes, suited up for a moon landing, a deep-sea dive, or in Sunday best something always disrupts their intentions. This might be the appearance of Storm Troopers, a string of sausages lying inexplicably on the ground, or the inverted perspective of an x-ray of still life. It’s all only part of the story, fragments of an unresolved narrative that we are left to complete, whatever that may be.

JACK SHELTON Jack is a photographer who is inspired by movies and cinema. He wants to convey a slightly surreal narrative to his images, an idea of structure; ‘the before and the after’. He offers us a youthful view of contemporary urban culture.
