basedaroundfixedlinkageswithintheLNGchain.Themovetotollingagreementsinthe2000s*gavethefirststepstowardscargooptimisationandtrading

•  TheinnovationoftheChenieretollingmodeltotheUSmarket,basedonlowcostofUSfeedgas,sawUShubpricedLNGwithgreateroperationalflexibilityofLNGcargoes,butthestructureisstillbasedaroundlong-termcontracts

•  Theequity/costmodelseekstomovefurthertowardsamerchantmodel,butstillrequireslargeequityinvestmentstobemade,whichinthemselvesmeanonlylargecompanieswithlargeportfoliosareabletobeinvolved.Thisstructurealsorequiresmediumtolongtermcontractstounderpinthelargeinvestments
