The Tiguan is built with bold character lines that accentuate its progressive design, creating a masculine aesthetic. Longer, wider and lower, the Tiguan’s striking SUV-design is sportier and more powerful-looking with sharp lines and flared wheel arches. Body-coloured bumpers, door handles and exterior mirrors fuse effortlessly and all models have a black protective trim on the lower front and rear bumpers, side sills and wheel arches.

The Tiguan’s distinct body contours are a common feature used to draw the eye along the cars exterior - leading to its striking horizontal chrome bars and proud Volkswagen badge. Chrome finishes can be added with the optional Chrome and Shine Package - keeping the Tiguan firmly on and off the road, on alloy wheels that come standard across the range.

State-of-the-art technology.

When it comes to innovation and technology, the Tiguan has everything you need. Keyless entry and an electric tailgate make loading and driving seamless and effortless.

Parking has never been easier. Park Pilot activates when the car is in reverse and uses ultrasonic sensors to monitor the front and rear of the vehicle. It offers guidelines on the camera screen and also warnings to the driver when the car is getting close to another object.

Tailor-make any journey. Driver Profile Selection enables different settings that will change both the Tiguan’s performance and the driver’s experience – all at the turn of a dial. Quickly and easily select one of four driving modes and change between Normal, Sporty, Individual or Eco mode.

Infotainment packages.

Central to driver and passenger enjoyment is Volkswagen’s “Composition Media” infotainment system (standard on Highline). It features an 8” high-resolution display, USB interface for iPod/iPhone, Bluetooth, SD Card and MP3 compatibility. The infotainment system offers a practical, personalised and versatile user experience – perfect for cross-country road trips or around-the-corner school runs.

“Discover Pro” pushes the envelope with a 9.2” touchscreen premium satellite navigation system with DVD drive, Gesture Control, Bluetooth and USB interface for iPod/iPhone. App-Connect links compatible smartphones to use selected apps on the touchscreen display of your Volkswagen, from streaming music to navigation using mobile maps.

Active Info Display turns your dashboard into an interactive cockpit. The Active Info screen allows you to customise the display from infotainment to navigation or vehicle statistics.

Safety first. Safety always.

The Tiguan is the embodiment of German engineering, which makes it one of the safest SUVs in its class. The safety cage has been designed to protect passengers in the event of a front, rear or side impact. In addition, advanced thermo-formed steel B-pillars offer strong reinforcements on top. The adaptive airbags have been engineered to adjust to crash severity and special door sensors will deploy Curtain Protection® airbags in a side impact.

The Head-up Display allows you to keep your eyes on the road by projecting relevant trip data conveniently in the driver’s field of vision. Speed, traffic signs, assistance systems and other functions are displayed clearly and accurately. A ground-breaking feature designed to keep the driver alert during long trips.

The Head-up Display warns when a break is needed via an acoustic signal and a visual message displayed on the instrument cluster – just another example of what makes the Tiguan smarter than most SUVs. The Rest Assist fatigue detection system senses fading concentration levels by intelligently measuring pedal and steering-wheel use. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) can also be added as another innovative piece of technology. When ACC is activated, the vehicle automatically brakes and accelerates in a speed range set by the driver. If another vehicle approaches, the ACC brakes the car to the same speed and maintains the pre-selected distance.

The Tiguan does all the thinking and calculations in split seconds. 4MOTION® actively secures vehicles by working in conjunction with the other operational safety systems to monitor driving conditions constantly. Hill Descent Control and torque distribution to all four wheels means safety comes first – whether you’re driving on or off road. Upon detection of even the most minimal wheel slip, the power is automatically adjusted and deployed to the necessary wheel in a matter of milliseconds.

Automatic Profile.Tailor-make any journey using the Driver Profile Selection. It enables different settings that will change both the Tiguan’s performance and the driver’s experience – all at the turn of a dial. Quickly and easily select one of the five driving modes and change between Normal, Comfortable, Sport or Eco mode.

Snow.Systems are configured for slippery road surfaces (snow, ice). Four-wheel drive responds more quickly.

Off-road driving profile.Four-wheel drive is active, systems are configured for uneven road surfaces and poor traction, and ABS+ are activated (further driving profiles such as ECO, Sport, are not possible).

Off-road driving profile (individual).Hill Descent Control, audio warnings and lights can be deactivated. The driver has the option to customize his off-road driving experience in this mode.

R-Line. It’s up to you to decide how dynamic you want your Tiguan Allspace R-Line to be. The R-Line model features lowered sports suspension meaning great cornering, or for even more control over your drive, you can specify optional Dynamic Chassis Control for a choice of Sport, Comfort or Normal suspension settings. Distinctive R-Line styling includes 20” ‘Suzuka’ alloy wheels, uniquely shaped body-coloured front and rear bumpers, ‘C’ signature ‘Gloss Black’ front air intakes and body-coloured side skirts. Inside, the sporty refinement continues.

The 2nd generation Tiguan is longer and wider with 615 litres of boot space (1,655 with folded seats). Elsewhere in the cabin, clever design and functionality go hand in hand. Sliding rear seats with a 40/60 split-fold offer versatility for passengers and luggage. For ultimate carrying capacity, both rear seats can be folded flat to reveal space just right for carrying a bulky load. The Tiguan even features load-through provision for the rear central armrest, making it a breeze to accommodate longer items such as fishing rods or hockey sticks while maintaining two rear outer seating positions.

As the name suggests, the Tiguan Allspace is all about space - offering passengers added room for a more enjoyable driving experience. Both rear seats can be folded for ultimate carrying capacity. It’s a remarkable vehicle in more ways than one. The engineers at Volkswagen have gone a long way to give you more - more in the form of a wheelbase that has been extended by 110mm and an overall extension of the Tiguan by 215mm.
