CSDCI has been at the forefront in promoting skills in Constructionsector with active participation of the Industry. In another majorinitiative, CSDCI and NBCC have entered into a Memorandum ofUnderstanding (MoU), to work jointly in engaging ApprenticeTrainees in NBCC.

CSDCI signed MoU with NBCC at "Apprenticeship Pakhwada" culmination programme

CSDCI signed an MoU with NBCC (India) Ltd. on 16th October2019 for engaging Apprentice Trainees in NBCC in presence ofShri Nitin Gadkari, Hon'ble Union Minister for Road Transport &Highways of India, Shipping and Minister of MSME & ShriMahendra Nath Pandey, Hon'ble Union Minister of SkillDevelopment and Entrepreneurship at the culmination ceremony of"Apprenticeship Pakhwada" programme. Shri Manas Kaviraj,Executive Director (HR), NBCC, Col. Anand Kumar Singh, CEO,CSDCI and other officers of NBCC & CSDCI were present.

An industry interaction workshop conducted byCSDCI to discuss revision of QP

An interactive workshop conducted by CSDCI to discussrevision of 37 QPs with industry domain experts on 18thOctober 2019 at New Delhi. Col Anand Kumar Singh, CEO,CSDCI welcomed the guests and gave a brief aboutconstruction sector and the skilling needs in the sector. MrsJancy Mathew, G.M., Standards, CSDCI explained the needfor revision of the QP/NOS and also discussed about theprocess adopted for creation of the NOS.

"Apprenticeship Pakhwada" attended byCSDCI at Hyderabad

Mr. Nagaraj, Regional Manager, CSDCI attended "Workshopfor Adoption an Implementation of Apprenticeshipthrough National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme" on 15thOctober 2019 at Hyderabad. The Workshop was aimed atgiving corporate delegates an inside view on howApprenticeship is the future of the workforce and how they canadopt NAPS in their firms. Mr.Surajit Roy, NSDC explained theimportance of NAPS scheme and its implementation inTelangana state. Few construction sector industries had alsoparticipated in the same.

CEO, CSDCI Col Anand Kumar Singh presented theproposal on fresh RPLs to be undertaken in the current FY2019-20.

CSDCI participated in the Skill DevelopmentEvent Launch at Tripura

Meeting on Rural Mason Training (RMT) underPMAY-G attended by CSDCI

CSDCI attended a Skill Development Event Launch of Recognitionof Prior Learning (RPL), Samarth Scheme and Rozgar Melaorganized by Directorate of Skill Development, Government ofTripura on 17th and 18th October 2019 at Tripura. Three employersfrom Construction sector participated in this two day long RozgarMela and approximately 200 candidates registered and total 147candidates were shortlisted by the recruiters.

CSDCI attended a meeting organized by Ministry of RuralDevelopment (MoRD) regarding Rural Mason Training on 17thOctober 2019 at New Delhi under the chairmanship of AdditionalSecretary (RH) Shri Prashant Kumar to discuss issues pertainingto Rural Mason Training under PMAY-G like importing of datafrom Skill India Portal of NSDC to AwaasSoft for generation ofreports for efficient monitoring of Rural Mason Training byStates/UTs at different levels of implementation.
