The Brand NameWe believe that the brand name is the most important tool for marketing as a symbol of the business concept, quality and long term thinking. Therefore, we have invested many millions of SEK into establishing and charging SUPRA over the years. The IdentityIn order to succeed it must also have an identity. This identity is the Ice Blue Supra Color and a profile of no-nonsense designs. The SegmentationWe have chosen to place Supra in the upper part of the market pyramid, but not in the top. The top represents golden edged products of high price but small quantities. No business. The lower part of the pyramid represents the noname mass/standard cables, sold or given away in the shops or go with the stereo equipments from the manufacturers. Large quantities but low profit. No business.

In 1976 Tommy Jenving introduced the SUPRA 2.5 loudspeaker cable, a 2.5 sqmm cable unlike any of the previous cables on the market. At this time the most usual size of loudspeaker cables was 0.5 sqmm and for high specifications the only option was 0.75 sqmm, a concept that SUPRA changed with our 2.5 sqmm loudspeaker cable. Since then SUPRA Cables have been producing high quality cables for over 35 years with our philosophy “no-nonsense design”.

Hi-FI, XLRBalanced.SUPRA's XLR-cables guarantees interference free cable runs. The cables are designed for low capacitance and high velocity. The result is better definition and dynamics.

SubwooferFor connection between receiver and active subwoofer. Low capacitance and high interference immunity make longer cable runs possible, which most often is the case for sub-woofer connection.

SACD/MP3/Ipod/Computer When you want the best from your Ipod / MP3 / computer to your Hi-Fi equipment. The cable is fully screeed and immune to external interference from, for instance, the computer.

Digital Audio

Coaxial S/PDIF, RCAThe most common consumer electronic format 75 Ohm S/PDIF is an interface for BNC- or RCA- connectors. The most common in Hi-Fi applications.

Optical S/PDIFAn optical variant of S/PDIF where light is used for signal transfer.

AES/EBU, XLR110 Ohm AES/EBU is a blanced interface with X LR connectors. The most common in professional use.

 

Analogue VideoAerialAnco is a silver plated cable for high quality aerial/SAT signals. Available only with European co-axial TV (PAL) connectors. Male to male or female to male. Suitable connectors is Acon M and Acon F.

CompositeTrico and Anco has a property that is the secret behind the sharp and clean picture: True 75 Ohm for low reflection loss, especially at longer runs. Trico and AnCo have double screening for less interference. All connectors are screened.

ComponentThe component cables are available in different combinations with RCA, BNC, Scart, VGA, and DVI connectors. All connectors are screened. Component Video is a high quality transfer technique, and can handle HD-resolutions up to 1080p.

DVI-I AnalogueFor transfer of analogue RGB, suitable between DVD/Computer and monitor/projector with DV-I input. Fully shielded and rewireable connectors enables installation in conduits >20mm dia.

RCA/BNC MultiThese cables are made with the high quality AV-series, multi coax cables of True 75 Ohm. Available in any combination with Component, RGB, CVBS and Svideo

ScartThese are ”specialized Scart Cables” using the high quality AV-series multi coax of true 75 Ohms and low losses, for best performance. Available in many combinations with Scart, RCA, BNC and S-video.

S-VideoThe S-Video cables are available in different combinations with Scart/S-video/RCA connectors. All connectors are shieldedS-Video givs better colour quality and sharpness than composite video. Supports 480i and 576i formats.

VGA These cables are specialised VGA cables of the high quality AV series, multi coax of true 75 Ohm and low loss for best performance. Available in many combinations with VGA, RCA, BNC, Scart and DVI.

HDMI-HDMI - High Speed with Ethernet. SUPRA´s HDMI-HDMI is a high quality ’single link’ cable, designed for digital video and audio in longer runs. The cable is terminated with over moulded HDMI-Connectors.

SUPRA USB 2.0 Cable High Performance, High Speed, type A-BA flexible cable with dual screens for the best RF pick-up protection. One twisted pair for data and one twisted pair for power, individual screens for minimal interference.
