Water Start, west of Laniakea paddle out spot between Himalaya’s & inside Laniakea 1 wave, Men & Women start together Start behind 2 - 40” orange buoys. Course goes west following coast past “Himalaya’s” surf spot, Papiloa Beach, Police Beach & turning into Haleiwa Harbor just past Pua’ena Point Buoys on the course are for navigation only but we suggest you stay outside of these if you are not familiar with this area. If water patrol has to help you because of poor navigation or swimming into the reef then this is a DQ. Stay outside of the navigation buoys to avoid getting disqualified. Keep last buoy near the beach on your LEFT shoulder. You must go around this last buoy before existing the water! Stay between 4 buoys near beach to avoid the reef! Run up the beach & cross timing mats for your finish time.
