I-Rod material health hazard data (standard I-Rod material only)ACUTE OR IMMEDIATE EFFECTS: Routes of entry and systemsINGESTION: Not a probable route of exposureSKIN: Molten I-Rod® causes thermal burnsEYE: Mechanical irritation onlyINHALATION: Shapes not respirable

Emergency first aid• If exposed to fumes from overheating, move to fresh air. Consult a physician if symptoms persist• Wash skin with soap and plenty of water • Flush eyes with water. Consult a physician if symptoms persist 7• If molten I-Rod contacts skin, coolrapidly with cold water. Do not attempt to peel I-Rod from skin. Obtain medical attention to thermal burn.

Chronic effects: Chronic inhalation studies in animals have shown that Formaldehyde causes cancer in rats. The international agency for researchon cancer has classified formaldehyde as a carcinogen in group 2A, and the national toxicology program includes formaldehyde in its annualreport on carcinogens. The OSHA TWA for formaldehyde is 0.75 ppm. The ACGIH TLV is 1 ppm. The OSHA and ACGIH STEL is 2 ppm.

Medical conditions generally aggravated by this material: No data are available which address medical conditions that are generally recognized asbeing aggravated by exposure to this product.

Fire and explosion hazard dataFlash ignition temperature: 608° F. / 320° C. Method: ASTM D-1929Unusual fire or explosion hazards: None knownHazardous combustion products: Formaldehyde may be released if product is exposed to excessive heat or fire.

Special fire-fighting instructions: Firefighters and others exposed to products of combustion should wear full protective clothing, including self-contained breathing apparatus. Fire-fighting equipment should be thoroughly decontaminated after use.

Extinguishing media: Water spray or any class A extinguishing agent.

UsesI-Rod is to be used in outdoor environments to eliminate crevice corrosion at the pipe and the pipe support interface where water can accumulate. There is not any reason to use this product in an indoor environment. The quantity of I-Rod is very small, so the amount of combustion productswill be minimal. I-Rod® has been used in thousands of applications in the oil and gas industry without any reports of combustion gases beingreleased from this product.
