Nutramigen PURAMINO is suitable for infants from birth on when bottle fed and for young children. Nutramigen PURAMINO is a nutritionally complete formula that can be used as a sole source of nourishment in infants up to 6 months of age or as part of a mixed diet for older infants and children. For enteral use only. Nutramigen PURAMINO is a Food for Special Medical Purposes and must be used under medical supervision. Nutramigen PURAMINO is lactose free. Ingredients Glucose syrup, vegetable oils (high oleic sunflower oil, medium chain triglycerides from coconut/palm kernel, soya oil), tapioca starch, L-aspartate, L-leucine, L-lysine hydrochloride, L-proline, potassium citrate, L-alanine, calcium phosphate, L-valine, monosodium glutamate, L-isoleucine, L-serine, L-threonine, L-tyrosine, L-arginine, L-phenylalanine, magnesium phosphate, glycine, L-cystine, L-histidine, L-tryptophan, single cell oils (ARA from Mortierella alpina and DHA from Crypthecodinium cohnii), L-methionine, sodium citrate, calcium citrate, choline chloride, calcium hydroxide, potassium chloride, inositol, ascorbic acid, ferrous sulphate, taurine, zinc sulphate, DL-alpha tocopheryl acetate, L-carnitine, nicotinamide, retinyl palmitate, calcium pantothenate, cupric sulphate, riboflavin, thiamin hydrochloride, pyridoxine hydrochloride, cholecalciferol, manganese sulphate, folic acid, sodium iodide, sodium selenite, phytomenadione, D-biotin, cyanocobalamin. Certified halal and kosher. Instructions for preparation Wash hands thoroughly and sterilise bottles, teats, caps and utensils. Boil fresh water. Leave to cool for 30 minutes prior to mixing. Do not use softened water. Pour desired amount of water into clean bottle or cup. Add required number of level scoops of powder (see feeding guidelines). Store DRY scoop in the can. Cap bottle, roll and shake well until powder dissolves completely. Check temperature on inside of your wrist. Do not heat feeds in a microwave. . Once prepared, formula can spoil quickly. Feed immediately after preparation or cover and store in a refrigerator at 2–4°C for no longer than a total of 24 hours. Do not freeze prepared formula and do not use if unrefrigerated for more than a total of 2 hours. Use formula that has been in contact with baby’s mouth within 1 hour and do not refrigerate. Throw away prepared formula left in bottle and clean utensils. Powdered formulas intended for infants are not sterile. Always ask your healthcare professional which formula is appropriate for your baby. Only use scoop in can. Do not press powder into scoop, level off with the back of a clean, dry knife. 1 level scoop (4.5 g) to each 30 ml of water. When children do not receive adequate quantities of solid food, the quantity of formula needs to be adjusted strictly following advice of a healthcare professional. Feeding guidelines, unless your healthcare professional advises you otherwise. Use the chart below for the correct amounts of boiled water and powder. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Breastfeeding is best for babies. The decision to discontinue breastfeeding may be difficult to reverse and the introduction of partial bottle-feeding may reduce breast milk supply. The financial benefits of breastfeeding should be considered before bottle-feeding is initiated. Failure to follow preparation instructions carefully may be harmful to your baby’s health. Parents should always be advised by an independent healthcare professional regarding infant feeding. Boil fresh water. Leave to cool for 30 minutes prior to mixing. Do not use softened water.

Pour desired amount of water into clean bottle or cup. Add required number of level scoops of powder (see feeding guidelines). Store DRY scoop in the can.

Cap bottle, roll and shake well until powder dissolves completely. Check temperature on inside of your wrist. Do not heat feeds in a microwave.
