    Main Objective : 1.1 Describe products and services

    SpecificObjective(s)

    : 1.1.1 Identify the features, characteristics and functions of a product or

    service.

    1.1.2 Describe the types and functions of products or servicesTime Required : 40 minutes

    Materials needed : 6 pieces of A4 papers, marker pens, etc

    Group size (if any) : 4 students in a group.

    Classroom Setting : In groups of 4.

    Preparation : None.

    Procedure : Opening/ Introduction/ Input: (10 minutes)

    Teacher lists the words needed in describing an object such as,

    physical features, characteristics and functions. (I.e: physical features:

    big, round, small,long, etc)

    Activity: (20 minutes)

    1. Teacher asks the students to think of any objects that can be

    found at the lab/workshop and the object is familiar to all.

    2. Each group identifies the object that they want to work on and

    draw the object.

    3. Once done, the group representative will describe the drawing

    orally to the class without the classmates knowing or looking at

    the picture.

    4. The classmates will start guessing and identifying the object.

    Conclusion/ Closure for the activity (10 minutes):

    Ask the students to think about what visual aids they will use for their

    speech.

    Follow up/EnhancementActivity/

    : Ask students to demonstrate how to use the visual aids in presentation.

    *Student Reflection : Have the students reflect on their reasons for using visual aids in

    presentation for now and their future. Assess how their personal

    viewpoints on the use of visual aids. Ask them to then anticipate

    possible consequences of not able to use visual aids properly on their

    future learning and careers.

    : Do the students:

    able to use appropriate visual aids in their presentation?

    Create an outcome-based checklist and share it with the students

    before the task. Use the checklist to assess if students are able to
