Day 3 : Vienna Tour | Schonbrunn PalaceThis morning enjoy a tour of Vienna, including the main square, St. Stephen’s Cathedral (celebrate Mass), Karlskirche, and visit to Schonbrunn Palace. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure before a special festive Heuriger dinner in the wine growing village of Grinzing, with wine-tasting and local Schrammein music entertainment. Day 4 : Melk Abbey | Maria Taferl Shrine | Salzburg Check out and depart for Salzburg, stopping at Melk Abbey, a Baroque-style Benedictine abbey on the Danube River surrounded by a beautiful town with Renaissance homes and winding streets reminiscent of the Middle Ages. Continue through the gorgeous Austrian countryside to visit the Shrine of Maria Taferl, a 17th century shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. Celebrate Mass at the shrine. Check into the Salzburg hotel and enjoy dinner. Overnight in Salzburg. (CB | D)

Day 5 : Maria Plain Shrine | Sound of Music Tour | Salzburg This morning visit the Maria Plain Shrine, overlooking Salzburg. Celebrate Mass and see the miraculous image above the altar, where St. John Paul II prayed. Tour the highlights of Salzburg with a panoramic city tour, including the Cathedral of Salzburg, Mirabel Gardens, Mozart’s home (exterior), and a gondola ride to Hohensalzburg Fortress for a bird’s-eye view of the city. Enjoy lunch on your own before embarking on the Sound of Music Tour, with marvelous views of the Salzkammergut Region. Return to Salzburg for dinner on your own and overnight. (CB)

Day 6 : Salzburg | InnsbruckCheck out and depart for the Tyrolian Region, stopping en route at the Cistercian Abbey in Stams for a tour and visit. Continue to the

city of Innsbruck (host of the 1976 Olympics) check in, and enjoy dinner. (CB | D)

Day 7 : Innsbruck | Free timeStart the morning with a visit to the Maria Plain Shrine, overlooking Salzburg. Day 9 : Neuschwanstein | Dachau | Munich This morning depart for Munich, stopping at the famous Bavarian Weiskirche to celebrate Mass, before visiting the beautiful Neuschwanstein Castle for tour and time for independent lunch. Continue on to Munich, check in and dinner on own; overnight in Munich. (CB)

Day 10 : MunichAfter breakfast visit the infamous concentration camp of Dachau. Return to Munich and celebrate Mass at Assamkirche, dedicated to the martyr St. John Nepomuk. Time for lunch on own before taking a panoramic city tour, including Nymphenberg Palace, Olympic Stadium, Deutsche Museum, the town hall, and more. See the Residenz, the palace of the Kings of Bavaria, and the Hofgarten. Enjoy free time for the remainder of the afternoon. Celebrate your farewell with an Oktoberfest feast at the beer tents with drink, music, & festive fare. Overnight Munich. (CB | D)
