UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIAOFFICE OF THE DEAN OF STUDENTS

Welcome from Dean GrovesWelcome to the Office of the Dean of Students. The University of Virginia offers a rich and rewarding stu-dent experience, but it is incumbent upon you, in the tradition of student self-governance, to discover the unique, true character of Mr. Jefferson’s University. Student government, club sports, and membership in one of our many contracted student organizations ( CIO ) and societies, are just some of the ways that you can get involved at UVA.

Take the time to walk the historic Grounds, one of our greatest gifts, and absorb the history that surrounds you. Drop by the second f loor of Peabody Hall to in-troduce yourself. We are here to help you get the most from your time as a student at the University. Our website is designed to offer a preview of the many ser-vices and programs you can access through our office. You can also e-mail me with questions, concerns, or to schedule a time to come by and visit.
