Further, we now have three generations making our living off of ◊T, ‘living’ by the weather and the market, being frustrated by aging infrastructure and equipment and political situations, and trying to create as much opportunity for our kids as possible while looking after our founders, Grandpa Gary and Grandma Donna, both now octagenarians. We find the challenges we have mirror many of our supporters, our ‘highs’ and ‘lows’ are often the same, as we walk the same difficult and rewarding path as so many of you do, of living off our cows. We also appreciate your constructive feedback: some of you want our bulls to be bigger and stouter with more mass and muscle, growth and maturity. To this end, we have heard you and are re-sponding. Brody’s trip to LLB confirmed what they hoped: 884D needed to come to ◊T! • In their footnotes, Laura said, “One of the top weaning and yearling weight two year old in the offering. There have been some BIG changes at Diamond T Ca琀le over the last year. Brody and Jus琀ne were able to increase their land base and se琀le into a new house. That has given them the opportunity to develop more on farm ingredients such as cereal silage. I have had the pleasure to work with the crew there this year to modify how we feed and develop their stock. Increased u琀liza琀on of on farm ingredients. Developing mineral and protein supplements to fill in the gaps where needed. Changes have been made but the focus on producing func琀onal bulls and females that will last for years to come has not. The bulls feeding

program is built to maximize forage u琀liza琀on and gut health. The bulls are developed on grass with their moms and then moved onto a balanced diet that promotes lean muscle growth. Organic minerals are used to ensure proper immune func琀on and over all health of bulls. The overall nutri琀onal health and development of the bulls and the en琀re cow herd is of utmost importance and is constantly being tweaked to meet environmental and seasonal condi琀ons.

The three of us independ-ently ranked our replacement heifer pen, then we combined those and created a final rank. While we each have our own criteria, we believe soundness and structure, balance and fertility, muscle and breed character all factor in prominently. Then we paired the Top Two and on down the list to the end. In the Top Eight pairs, we have selected one to keep and one to sell in Stockmans Choice, so these eight heifers represent 8 of our Top 16 overall. There are no red heifers as we are trying to grow those numbers, but we did include one black/red-carrier as these have been popular in the past. And we also ensured that our selection of the sale heifer from each of the top pairs included at least one example from our sire groups, so you see Shawshank, Concorde, Renovation, Bravo, Rush Hour and Rage.
