Old MacDonald Had a Farm Picture Board Greetings teachers of young children with autism! This is an activity that I use with early learners that are learning about farm animals. It is easily used with ABA, VB, and PECs programs. Objectives can be tracked with ABLLS and VB-MAPP. Use to target the following objectives: Touches, shows, points to, and finds a named item. Gives an item. Selects one of two items. Points to body part. Gets an item. Selects two from a larger set. Requests missing item. Labels animals. Labels by yes/no. Fill in words to a song. (Here’s where the Old MacDonald comes in!) Imitates animal sounds. Selects by feature. Print a second set of animals for matching identical pictures. Add a set of toy animals to match pictures with objects. Have fun and remember to reinforce for new skills! Look for my literacy & language skills units based on picture book themes.
