Old MacDonald Had a Farm Picture Board Greetings teachers of young children with autism! This is an activity that I use with early learners that are learning about farm animals. It is easily used with ABA, VB, and PECs programs. Objectives can be tracked with ABLLS and VB-MAPP. Use to target the following objectives: • Touches, shows, points to, and finds a named item. • Gives an item. • Selects one of two items. • Points to body part. • Gets an item. • Selects two from a larger set. • Requests missing item. • Labels animals. • Labels by yes/no. • Fill in words to a song. (Here’s where the Old MacDonald comes in!) • Imitates animal sounds. • Selects by feature. Print a second set of animals for matching identical pictures. Add a set of toy animals to match pictures with objects. Have fun and remember to reinforce for new skills!

Place the animals in Old MacDonald’s field as you sing the song.

Print on card stock. Cut out animals. Laminate pieces. Place Velcro button on back.
