It’s our university that will provide you with the intensive training of the Ukrainian and Russian languages, based on the most successful training methods of the experienced teaching staff. You will learn to communicate in Ukrainian and Russian and acquire the knowledge required to continue the education at universities of Ukraine or the knowledge you need to achieve your personal goals. You will also become acquainted with the history and the culture of our city and country; you’ll visit interesting and picturesque locations of Prydniprovye and other regions of Ukraine.

The program of the intensive training comprises:65 academic hours within 2-month courses,380 academic hours within 4-month courses.

The levels of the Ukrainian and Russian languages knowledge: beginner elementary intermediate advanced

BeginnerYou will learn the alphabet, 300 new words, proper pronunciation, spelling

and reading, grammar basics. At the end of the course you will master spoken and written Ukrainian and Russian on a day-to-day basis.

ElementaryThis level provides the consolidation of the lexical and grammar material,

learned at the beginner’s level, gradual mastering of verb tenses, prepositions, case system. You’ll learn more than 300 new expressions, listening comprehension in Ukrainian and Russian. You will obtain the capacity to respond rapidly to the questions asked by the teacher and ask the question back.

IntermediateYou will improve your knowledge in everyday language. You’ll learn to

make active use of the imperfect/perfect verb aspects, verbs of movement, adverbs, pronouns, adjectives, numerals in spoken language. Your vocabulary will be enriched in more than 400 new expressions.

Advanced levelYou will reach a high level of grammar knowledge. Special texts are taken

from the business, social and cultural spheres of the Ukrainian or Russian languages. You can convey and evaluate information heard on television, read in the press, as well as participate in a conversation about the personalities of science, culture, sport.

The main principles of studies:• communicativeness; • interactivity (involving students in dialogue-discussion); • concentricity in the supply of a lexical and grammatical material (repeat –

expand – learn); • trinity in training the material (practiced in the ready material – in the simulated – in a free context).
