Assistant to Owner/CEO, Julie Hanson Started by working as a Personal Assistant to Julie Hanson, attending and
participating at all meeting with clients, vendors and staff. Rapidly given increased responsibility and eventually, in 2014, given
total responsibility to manage from the ground up a major event – The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s National Man and Woman of the Year Awards Ceremony, held at the Ritz-Carlton, Washington DC with some 900 participants:
o Event arrangements covered full catering, rooms design and set-up, managing multiple, multi-media presentations, managing the timing of events down to the minute.
o The owner was managing another event on the West Coast at the time and entrusted me above all other personnel, many of whom were older, to manage the function.
In 2015, called back to play a key role in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s National Man and Woman of the Year Awards Ceremony for the second year.
In both 2014 and 2015, played a key management role in the annual Leukemia Ball which was attended by more than 2,000 business leaders and raised more than $3 million.
o Attended all meeting with sponsors, vendors and advisors, acted on owner’s authority to ensure highest standards were maintained throughout the event.
A key manager of the Nike Half Marathon, which attracted 15,000 runners - helped managed the set up of the whole event throughout the city of Washington DC, attended all meetings with Nike team, vendors, exhibitors, sponsors, etc.
o Personally managed the Whole Foods pavilion including set-up, break down and ongoing management during the event.

Nanny/Mother’s companion – for six years helped manage a family’s here children during the summers – taught each child how to swim.
