Skip the Queue -Movie Ticket Booking is an application for Online Ticket Booking for movies.This is an online web site on which user as well as theatre owner register themselves and use this site to update movies in theatre and search for particular location of theatre as well as book tickets for particular movie. Also theatre authority can check by ticket number for valid user..The goal of this system is to make people book tickets easily.Movie Ticket booking system is one of the essential applications of E-commerce. With the development of Internet and security technology, more and more people begin to consume online, which is more convenient and personal than traditional way. The goal of this system is to make people book tickets easily.

Abstract*

This cinema ticket booking is a faster, cleaner, and a tad more personal website, specially designed to make your booking experience better. It is the basis of the principle Skip the Queue that is useful in arranging for cinema tickets on the go, easily without the hassle of getting in the queues to get the show you want to see. So anyone with the net provision can book tickets, whether gold or silver, along with the combo packs to chosen.Log on, navigate and find out for yourselves and if time permits leave your valuable feedback. Customers may view the contents of any movie show at any time and may book any movie ticket as needed. The program automatically calculates the subtotal and grand total. When a visitor decides to finally book the ticket, the order information including the buyers name, address and billing instruction is stored in the database securely and payment has been made.The combo booking is also provided at the time of booking the ticket and theres a wonderful facility of delivering the combos at your seat when you are watching the movie. You need to register a new user whenever you have first visited or site then for future it will be stored in our database permanently and you can book your movie ticket at any time you want with this username and password.

Purpose* The main purpose of online ticket booking system is to provide another way for the customer to buy cinema ticket. The Ticket Reservation System is an Internet based application that can be accessed throughout the Net and can be accessed by anyone who has a net connection. It is an automatic system, where we will automate the reservation of tickets and enquiries about availability of tickets. After inserting the data to database, staff need not to worry about the orders received through the system and hence reduces the manual labour. One of the best features of the system is to refund the amount on cancellation of tickets by customer.The goals of the system are:To provide a anytime anyplace service for the customerTo provide refundTo minimize the number of staff at the ticket boxTo promote the film on the internetTo increase the profitTo obtain statistic information from the booking record

.NET is Microsoft's vision of "software as a service", a development environment in which we can build, create, anddeploy your applications Microsoft introduced great technologies like COM, DCOM, COM+ etc. to enable reuse of Software. Although these technologies are very powerful to reuse Software, they required a huge learning curve. Microsoft changed all complex tasks with the new .NET Framework. That was a huge advantage forall developers.

System Analysis- Existing System*There are currently a number of different websites offering online tickets sales but none utilizing ASP.NETThe other way out is buying tickets at the counter of Movie Theatre.In this system, there is a tiredness of ticket reservation from ticket counters because you have to stand in long queue for ticket reservation. And the common problem for customer is that they are unable to choose his seat.

System Analysis- Proposed System* Skip the Queue Movie Ticket Booking really escapes you from the tiredness of ticket reservation from ticket counters because you have to stand in long queue for ticket reservation. Movie goers can search for movies in a given range from their current position, view movie details, rate movies, or reserve movie tickets. The goal is to create a very usable and user friendly service that can be run on as many Internet browsers possible to allow movie goers to search for movies, reserve tickets, and offers him/her a great deal of mobility to movies, reserve tickets . Both, the cinema industry and movie goers can gain benefits from this service. For example: A screen containing the cinema hall configuration is displayed. User can see that there are small green seats among some green ones. User notices the legend that explains the color markup. User can see the position of the screen and they can reserve maximum of four seats based on the availability. A Ticket Summary screen is displayed containing all ticket information i.e. movie, cinema name and address, cinema theater, row and seat no, price for each ticket, and the total price to be paid including all taxes. They verify the information and press the Accept button.

This page will allow new users to register themselves with the website by providing valid name and e-mail id and validated to check if password is at least 8 characters long.

This webpage guides you to select seats(category),number of seats and combos and find the net payable amount to the user.

*Payment Information Page

This page demands the user about what payment method he would like to use and asks the user to enlist the details of the payment mode, complete information including personal details. The Book Now button is used to finalize the payment to the reservations he had done.

This webpage is used to show booked ticket info after completing the payment procedure.

It is home page for administrator with details of the movies showing now with information and the option to change password.

This webpage is used to status of the theatre i.e. ticket cost and theatre capacity along with the manager as well as theatre name and address.

Conclusion

The project has been developed successfully and the performance of the system has been found satisfactory. The security has been incorporated as required by any placement firm. Use of computer helps the user in reducing the time wasted in non-productive work. It further helps the user in having immediate access to the information as well as to share the limited resources effectively.User friendly menu driven interface has been provided to the user to interact with the system. Users can traverse through the website provided the users have the access right set. The users can register themselves through a registration form and then can use the services of the website. The system provides an integrated environment for the customers who are willing to watch movies currently running in the auditoriums in the theatres and can also enjoy combo packs while watching movie. *

Limitation Of The Project

*The following are the limitations of the project:No Multi-User Support Is ProvidedAt a time only one user can use the software. In same companies, the computers are interconnected to form a network. But this software will work on only one computer at a time.

Login Password Is Not EncryptedThe username and password provided to us is not encrypted properly. Any person that gets to know the username and password of a user can access his account. So keep your password safe.No Backup And Restore Utilities Are IncorporatedIn these times of uncertainties, incorporation of the facilities of backup and restoration of last details is necessary. Any computer can crash or become affected by a virus at any time. So it is imperative to take the backup of the data, but this software does not provide this utility.
