Lauth.csv Description: Local Authorities in England and Wales Contains: A standard set of unique identification codes for all Local Authorities across England and Wales. How Maintained: Local Authorities are statutory organisations. As such, any establishment, dissolution or changes to the name of LAs are published in a Statutory Instrument which is released on to legislation.gov.uk, managed by The National Archives on behalf of HM Government. The ODS team check this website daily and implement any changes required. Other non-statutory changes to LAs, such as address changes, will be monitored through regular checking of the local government related websites. For the allocation and maintenance of Local Authority sites codes please refer to Lauthsite.csv.
