Dear Parishioners,

A blessed and peace-filled New Year!

I extend a very warm welcome to all of our guests and visitors that we have with us here at Holy Infant during these holy days. I hope that you feel warmly welcomed into our parish community during this great season!

This is a perfect me to look back with gra tude upon God’s mercy and grace of last year and place the com-ing year – 2020 – into God’s providen al hands.

I pray that the days of this holy season be ones filled with joy and peace and light! While this me of year has a host of dinners and gi s and visits to family and friends, it’s important that we not lose sight of its primary importance: to touch our hearts and our living with the incredibly good news that God, in Jesus Christ, has taken up His home in us. We are so blessed with the richness of faith, hope and love here at Holy Infant!

A special word of apprecia on and gra tude to the many individuals who helped to make our Christmas Sea-son bright: liturgical ministers and choirs, church cleaners and decorators, organizers of charitable efforts, office staff, donors of Christmas flowers, and all those who have been so very generous to our parish. Thanks to all of you, who by your prayers and presence help to make Holy Infant such a fantas c community!

I have received many notes of apprecia on from those in our community that we had the opportunity to as-sist with Christmas cheer: the Wellston Center in North St. Louis, the many Giving Tree families, the families who were assisted by our St. Vincent de Paul Society, our homeless brothers at Sts. Peter and Paul in Soulard, our friends at St. Martha’s Hall, the women and children who are offered assistance through the Kathy J. Weinman Shelter in North St. Louis, the homeless around the College Church Parish at St. Louis University served by their Outreach Ministry, as well as all those who were given food and assistance through the St. Wenceslaus Food Pantry in South City. As we all know, these folks are in need of our prayers and material assistance throughout the year. Thanks to everyone in our community who are so generous – especially dur-ing the holiday season!

God’s blessings to you and your family!

Please note: There will be no adora on from Thursday, December 31, 2019 at 5:00 pm to January 2, 2020 at 6:00 a.m.

Adora on will resume on January 2, 2020 at 6:30 a.m. We wish you a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!!! We are seeking faithful committed adorers, will you be one?

To become an adorer, contact Tessie or Ricardo at (636) 391-1997 or (314) 520-7088.

Today is the feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. We hear the words: “The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favor of God was up-on him.” During this New Year may we also grow in wis-dom and have the favor of God upon us by remembering to take care of our suffering brothers and sisters. ST. VINCENT DE PAUL

“Wives, be subordinate to your husbands…Husbands, love your wives…Children, obey your parents in every-thing…Fathers, do not provoke your chil-dren…” (Colossians 3:18-21) Pope Francis said that families, through their life of prayer and love, become "schools of true human growth." Being credible witnesses of Christian love, especially that of family members, exerts the most positive influence on our children. We are all children of God, let us pray and love each other as God, Our Father, does for us.

“May God bless you so that you may reach out your hand to

comfort and turn pain into joy. May God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you can make a difference in this world, and in your neighbor-hood, so that you will coura-geously try what you don’t

think you can do, but, in Jesus Christ you’ll have all the

strength necessary.” Thank you for making a difference!

St. Martha’s Hall

Many thanks to the parishioners of Holy Infant Parish for the generous donations for St. Francis Xavier College

Church Outreach. The many coats, shoes, socks, T shirts and undergarments you provided are much needed and

much appreciated! God bless you all! St. Francis Xavier College Church Outreach
