VVWithin the scope of the automation and analysis of test sequences, the OTX authoring system supports HMI extensions (Hu

man-Machine-Interface) including messages, on-screen instructions and requests for user inputs. Thus, complex applications such as guided debugging strategies with user interactions can be converted to the standard format.

For creation of diagnostic sequences the OTX authoring system provides full access to ODX data in the native XML format or as binary runtime data. The binary format developed by In2Soft stands out with the high-performance access and low resource requirements. As a result, the response time to user input is extremely reduced and large data volumes, of particular relevance during OTX sequence creation, can be accessed very easily and quickly .

Sequences can be executed immediately (step-by-step) and can also be debugged within the OTX authoring system. Diagnos

tic communications can be either performed directly by using real ECUs (electronic control units) or be simulated. With ECU communication Ethernet, CAN and K-Line busses are supported.
