The Scape House Inn has had its ups anddown over the past few decades, but neverseems to have lost its charm. This is whatenticed Steve Kerr & his team into takingit on from December last year.

The management team are alsoresponsible for the very successful Rose &Crown pub on nearby Cop Hill and arehoping to bring with them similar passionsfor premium drinks, freshly preparedhome-cooked food and a warm cosyatmosphere.

Ultimately the aim of the new ScapeHouse is to become a hub for the localcommunity once more; an ideal meetingplace for drinkers, diners, couples,families, walking groups & more.

There is a large selection of real ales mostof which are Yorkshire beers and alwaysone from a supplier in Huddersfield.

A conservatively priced menu is naturallycentred around meats farmed locally, butstill offers a comprehensive choice of fish& vegetarian options. The specials boardchanges daily to accommodate regularvisitors.

The Scape will remained closedMondays, but is open every weeknightfrom 5pm plus Saturday & Sunday from12 noon. Tables can be reserved in thedining area but tables are alwaysavailable for bar meals too.
