Over 215 Million children work and work everyday.

What is Child Labor?

Work that harms children physically,

and mentally.

Keeping children from attending to

school everyday.

Considerable differences exist

between the many kinds of work

children do. Some are difficult and

demanding, others are more hazardous

and even morally reprehensible.

Children carry out a very wide range of tasks and activities

when they work.

There are over 215Million children whose rights are not respected. Those children work everyday for very small amount of money to pay of their family’s debt. The reason why these children are living in this way is that usually these kids and their families are extremely poor. The difference between the rich and poor sent those children to harsh, dangerous, and hazardous work everyday

Eight year-old Martha and her family were held at gunpoint by a gang master in Brazil and told that they must work off their travel, food and shelter expenses. She burned charcoal for up to 18 hours a day, inhaling so much smoke that she begun to cough blood and is now unfit for work.

Martha and her Family

The similar part between Iqbal’s situation and Martha’s situation is that they were both in dangerous and unhealthy conditions.. Iqbal was locked in the tomb for 6 days and had lice from the dirty factory conditions. And Martha was living in bad and dangerous condition and she lost her health.

Also the different part between Iqbal and Martha is that Martha was with her family to work. But Iqbal didn’t have his family living with him. He was all alone with the kids that he never knew before. That might’ve been easier for Martha because she has her family beside her. But it also might be painful for her to believe that her whole family is working just like she was in dangerous, hazardous conditions.

You can stop the child labour by..

Checking the product before you buy.

Not shopping at certain company or store that uses child labour.

Not buying certain Item or product that uses child labour.

Donating to the campaign that helps those children.

The best way to help is to teach and tell other people about the child labour and showing them how you are taking action to help those kids and make a difference to the world.

World is taking action to stop the child labour...

International Program to Eliminate Child Labour (IPEC) says : We must invest in full-time education and show parents that making their children help to support the family is not a positive thing, child labour is definitely HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION.In my opinion, no matter what, even the family has debts, these children should not be sent to work by their parents. It’s definitely not a good idea to let these young and weak children work in pain. Even if its for their family.

Some of us don’t like to go to school. But guess what. There are kids that Wish to go to school. We wish for a new computer, new Video games, New TV, but all these kids want is A life of freedom and Going to school. Which is very obvious in our country and in our life.

This is where WE spend OUR day.

But this is where THEY spend THEIR day.

Can you believe that the kids like us, that lives in same world. Works like adults but even in dangerous conditions.
