ABSTRACT
HR Foundation Shared HR’s Access to HRMS Functionality
HR Foundation is a responsibility provided for Shared HR installations that groups together a set of forms for use with other Oracle Applications. It does not have all of the robust capabilities of Oracle HRMS, but it does provide for the recording of data about employees and work structures in support of business processes in manufacturing, project management or financial processing.

DETAILS
HR Foundation allows for entry and maintenance of common workforce information. It does not validate data for use with payroll. One of the main features Shared HR does not have is date track functionality. This means that no history of employee information is maintained as is done in full Oracle HRMS.
The APIs available to HR Foundation are limited. Note 152028.1 lists the APIs that can be used.
Menu The HR Foundation responsibility uses the seeded menu of the same name. Click here to see the items available under the HR Foundation Responsibility.
Shared Employee Form The form for entering and maintaining employees in HR Foundation is the ‘Enter Person’ form, short name PERWSEMP. To view the employee form, click here.
WorkstructuresWorkstructures are handled a bit differently in HR Foundation than they are in a Full install of Oracle HRMS. Positions in HR Foundation use a different form from the one used in Full Oracle HR.
Positions PERWSDPO - Shared HRWSPSF - Full Oracle HR
Using the same form:
Locations PERWSLOC
Organizations - same form for both PERWSDOR
Jobs PERWSDJT
Grades PERWSDGR
SUMMARY
HR Foundation provides the limited functionality needed in a Shared HR environment to support modules that need to use HR data but do not need the use of full Oracle HRMS.
