MontageDescription: Combination of two images blended together to make one image.

Date: 2/15/13

Course/Instructor: COMM 130 Section 2Caryn Esplin

Programs/Tools Used: Adobe Photoshop

Objectives:Create a new image using Adobe Photoshop.Use masks to blend two or more images together. Apply a filter to the montage.

Process:First I changed the resolution and cropped both images. Next I positioned them together while insuring that the image of Christ had lots of lead room. Once the placement was correct, I masked the two images together; then I utilized the clone stamp tool to remove the original logo on the ocean image. After this, I added a filter and used a layer mask to remove part of the filter. I then broke the type into three sections for more freedom in sizing and placement.

Finally, I added a visual connection between the logo and the contact information by using a line rule. I added the company’s initials on a second 3.5 x 2 inch box for the back of the card.
