498 LPTB/LT (BUSES) PROOF FAREBOARD GEOGRAPHICAL BUS TICKETS. A carton containing in excess of 1,000 printer’s proofs for LPTB services 21 to 31 from the July 1933 to late 1940 period. Most fronts and backs are printed on separate card, although a few complete examples may appear. The fronts do not usually have the large fare value overprint, the value appearing in the text on both fronts and backs of each ticket, which is printed on the appropriate colour card for its value. Almost all have the date of approval

by LPTB at the top in ink; a few are also overstamped “cancelled.” Not all changes may be represented on each route and, in some cases, only the side of the ticket with changes appears. An interesting archive. (Qty)

499 RAIL AND ROAD DELVER’S DELIGHT of APTIS including a small collection of types, miscellaneous ferries, bridge, boat trips, ferries, piers, Omniprinter, Handiprinter, INTIS, SPORTIS, preserved railways whole Edmondsons, Season Tickets, etc., plus 220 proof Edmondsons on white card with hatched blue lines, over 240 London Buses and 173 other companies, plus approx 280 sundry foreign tickets, mainly paper, some Edmondsons, some timetables. Worth sorting. (Qty)

500 LONDON TRANSPORT. A large collection of mostly issue whole and all issued half UNDERGROUND TICKETS comprising a selection of pre-LPTB issues, LPTB issues and LT from all eras except UTS. A wide range of issues and types offered with a good selection of whole and half Edmondsons, plus a vast array of machine issues. Some PLATFORM TICKETS noted. A small bundle of issues from “joint” services comprises LT printed examples of LNER and GWR tickets as well as W&BR and East London. Probably in excess of 2,500 tickets, this collection is also well worth a second look! (Qty)
