Prapluie Table - The small parapluie tables enriches the interior with its love of the detail. Its design grap-ples with the tension between object-nature and context-expectation, the sublime ‘releasement’ of the trick. The impression of the fragile handle, like it could collapse every second, reminds us of the transience of the objects we know - the objects that made the modern world work. Playing with these impressions, the table is simple but full of character in the role it fulfills for the interior. In its role within the domestic space, the table is an homage to the absurdity of the everyday.
Welcome to the World of Rakso Naibaf Furniture. This catalog shows the unique parapluie table, an object which was designed in late 2011. What`s an object? And when is it a furniture, these thoughts might go through your head when one sees the parapluie table. This materialized thought of a functional object that ultimately becomes a fanciful design. As a young and new Furniture studio, Rakso Naibaf positions itself as a radical imaginative and playful studio. Founded by Oskar Kohnen and Fabian Freytag, the studio is a platform for experimental thoughts and bizarre creative productions.

Rakso Naibaf Furniture celebrated its Salone del Mobile debut in Milan in 2012 showing an installation of seven flying parapluie tables. The imaginative installation became an eye-catcher at the Milan Salone and was numerously photographed.
