WE ARE WITH YOU IN SPIRIT The Haiti Solidarity Project offers a way to be engaged in spirit with Fr. Kevin and those traveling to our twin parish in Haiti for nine days in January through simple, concrete daily actions of meals or prayer. Information, recipes, prayers and sign-ups are available in the commons after each Mass. KROGER CARDS Remember to use your Kroger cards as you head into the New Year. We are grateful to all those who have purchased and used Kroger cards though this program. For just the few moments it takes to pre-load your card, OLPH reaps great financial benefits. To date, the parish has received over $29,201. FREE MONEY— just for buying products you were going to buy anyway! If you have a card, please remember to use it whenever you shop at Kroger! If you do not have a card, the Knights are in the commons monthly to make the cards available for you. Thank you!

THE GREAT ADVENTURE CONTINUES

We continue reading for Lesson #22, “The Church, Part 2”: Acts 8:5–15:35. Additional readings and references include: 1 Timothy 1:12–17, Mt 15:11 and 15:19–20, and the Catechism #’s 880–892.

We will meet again very soon, January 9–13, to discuss the lesson and watch the DVD.

The letters of St. Paul were written before the Gospels, so many of Paul’s terms influenced the Gospel writers. To Paul, “Gospel” means the “good news” of salvation in Jesus Christ, the proclamation of faith in God’s mercy, not the story of his life. His letters focus more on the power of God, and less on Jesus’ words or actions.
