EL SAEED AGAG, Amira Amira El Saeed Agag is the corporate governance operations officer for the IFC’s Corporate Governance Projects for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), World Bank. As such, she focuses on providing technical assistance and advisory services to banks and companies on good corporate governance practices, in particular through training events as well as corporate governance assessments and improvement plans. Amira has significant academic and hands-on experience in the Education and Training field; as a visiting faculty in the American University in Cairo, Lecturer, and

training lead faculty. Amira has presented in various Regional and International conferences, and written numerous articles on corporate governance-related topics in various Egyptian and Regional economic newspapers and magazines. BANERJEE, Jyoti

The IIRC is drawing on Jyoti’s twenty years of experience in the software business sector, primarily as a business strategist and expert in the interaction of technology with business. He leads the <IR> Technology Initiative at the IIRC. He is also a partner at Fronesys, a sustainability advisory service, where he focuses on Smart Cities initiatives. Jyoti is on the investment committee of Ibex, a venture fund that makes ethical investments in emerging markets. He created an MBA elective course on Software Entrepreneurship at Said Business School, University of Oxford. Jyoti has a master‟s degree in economics and an MBA.

BLASCHKE, Winfrid

Winfrid Blaschke is deputy head of the Corporate Affairs Division at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris. Winfrid supervises the OECD Secretariat’s work for the Corporate Governance Committee, the committee that brings together officials and experts on corporate governance from the OECD and beyond, and functions as the main international standard setter in the area of corporate governance. Winfrid initially joined the OECD in 2008 to conduct assessments of financial systems in the OECD accession countries.

Prior to joining the OECD, Winfrid worked at the European Commission in Brussels (on financial regulation and as a trade negotiator), at the European Central Bank in

Frankfurt (on financial stability), and as an economist at the International Monetary Fund in Washington (on

the launch of the Financial Sector Assessment Program and on stress testing). Before switching to the public sector, Winfrid worked in the private financial sector, at the Chicago Board of Trade and at Citibank, mainly in the derivatives area. BLESENER, Susan

Susan Blesener is the founder of The Art of Value, a management consultancy that helps companies define, manage and report on what matters most. She has more than 10 years of experience in integrated management and integrated reporting, and works with companies in the US, Europe and Asia that are on the path to integration. Before establishing The Art of Value, she managed corporate and integrated reporting at IFC and Novo Nordisk, one of the first companies in the world to issue an integrated report. Susan serves on committees and governance boards for the Global Reporting Initiative, the International Integrated Reporting Committee, and the Sustainability

Accounting Standards Board, and has been involved in the development of reporting frameworks for all three organizations. BOEVA, Bistra

Prof. Boeva is a full time professor at the “International Economic Relations and Business” Department at the University for National and World Economic Studies (Sofia, Bulgaria). She holds a postdoctoral degree in international business and master’s degree in law. Prof. Bistra Boeva teaches courses in International Management, International project management and Corporate Governance Master’s Program in Bulgaria and abroad. Prof. Bistra Boeva chaired the Supervisory Board of the Privatization Fund Kaliman (1996-1997) and held of Board of Directorships in of Bulgarian companies. For four years (1997-2001) she was a Commissioner at the Bulgarian National Securities and

Stock Exchange Commission. Currently Prof. Boeva is a member of the Private Sector Advisory Group (Global Forum for Corporate Governance-IFC/ World Bank). In her capacity as a PSAG member, she works on projects in ECA countries. Between 2008 and 2011 she was appointed as a member of the European Forum for Corporate Governance established by European Commission. Her publications are on corporate governance issues, international management and international project management.

BERG, Alex

Alexander Berg is the Senior Financial Sector Development Specialist in the Financial and Markets in the World Bank. He focuses on corporate governance in the capital markets, regulatory governance, and the implementation of corporate governance codes. He coordinates the World Bank’s Corporate Governance ROSC program, as well as the Bank’s contribution to the Africa Corporate Governance Program. Mr. Berg has more than 20 years of experience in corporate governance reform, capital markets policy analysis, and state-owned enterprise reform. Prior to joining the World Bank, he directed a number of consulting projects in the areas of capital markets development and privatization in several countries. He also held positions with the

OECD and the U.S. government. Mr. Berg received his MBA from the University of Chicago, and graduated with honors (Phi Beta Kappa) from Oberlin College.

BUSUIOC, Andrei

Mr. Busuioc has over 18 years of experience in accounting and auditing in both the

private and public sectors and including university lecturing. He joined the World Bank

Centre for Financial Reporting Reform (CFRR) in Vienna, Austria, in 2008 with

responsibility for financial reporting reform in a number of central and eastern

European countries and for audit regulation in Western Balkan countries. He has been

part of Accounting and Auditing Reports on the Observance of Standards and Codes

(ROSC) teams.

Prior to joining the CFRR, Mr. Busuioc worked in the World Bank Country Office in Moldova as a Financial Management Specialist, covering fiduciary activities, public

finance management development, and corporate financial reporting development. He is an accountant by training, and a member of the UK Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Mr. Busuioc holds a university degree in economics from the Moldova State Agricultural University, and a Ph.D. in economics from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova. He also holds a postgraduate diploma in public financial management from the Centre for Financial and Management Studies, University of London. He speaks Romanian, Russian, English, as well as basic Bulgarian and German. BREEN, Erik

Erik Breen (1972) is Manager SRI at Triodos Investment Management. He is responsible for the further development of Triodos Investment Management’s investment activities in public markets. Triodos Investment Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Triodos Bank, is a globally recognised leader in impact investing and manages 19 sustainable investment funds, with a total value of EUR 2.9 billion at end of June 2015. Erik is Chair of the Board of Governors of ICGN (International Corporate Governance Network). He was co-convener of ICGN’s Taskforce for Corporate Risk Oversight. Erik is Treasurer and a member of the Executive Board of Eumedion since 2011. He

chaired Eumedion’s Investment Committee from 2006 to 2010. Erik is a Council Member of the IIRC since 2013. He holds a Master of Econometrics from the University of Groningen, earned an EFFAS CFA and is registered with the Dutch Securities Institute. Erik has the ambition to (re) connect the power of (institutional) capital with the beneficiaries’ non-financial values through a realistic business-driven approach. He began his career with Robeco in 1996 and held positions as senior Portfolio Manager at various teams at the investment department. He was fund manager of Robeco Duurzaam Aandelen (Sustainable Equity Fund) from 2002 to 2012. Erik founded Robeco’s voting and engagement activities in 2004 and was the architect behind Robeco’s Responsible Investment strategy. Erik left Robeco in 2013 in his last position as Senior Vice President and head of the Responsible Investing department. BULSARA, Khushro

Mr. Khushro A Bulsara is the Senior General Manager – Listing Compliance & Legal Regulatory, Bombay Stock Exchange Limited (known as ‘BSE’). He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, Company Secretary and LL.B. In his 28 years of work experience, he has spent over 20 years with the BSE and gained rich experience in the Surveillance, Inspection, Clearing & Settlement, Debt and Derivatives Departments of BSE. From July 2009 he was heading the mutual fund department and was the driver behind the setting up of the popular online exchange traded mutual fund platform - StAR MF. Since December 2012, he is heading the Listing Compliance and Legal Regulatory functions.

He is a member of the Index Committee of Asia Index Pvt Ltd. a joint venture of S&P Dow Jones LLC and BSE, which manages all the S&P BSE co-branded Indices. He was also the Chair of the sub-group formed by SEBI (Indian Market Regulator) for systemizing Takeover / Insider Trading related disclosures. He had presented a paper on the Indian regulatory framework regarding Related Party Transactions at the Asian Roundtable on Corporate Governance in Bangkok in October 2015. Mr. Bulsara has also been a guest lecturer at the Bombay Stock Exchange’s prestigious Training Institute – BTI and has recently toured India along with his team in a series of programs to talk about the recently introduced Listing Regulations, 2015.

CANFIELD, Charles

Chuck has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Elmhurst College, Chicago, Illinois, USA and a Juris Doctor with a concentration in International Law from Northwestern University. Chuck is a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (London). He has over twenty years professional experience in accounting, consulting and law, with eleven years of that spent in the emerging markets of the former Soviet Union and East Asia and the Pacific. Assisted companies in these jurisdictions implement international best practices of corporate governance, and advised on draft legislation/regulations in ten separate countries. Extensive experience advising enterprises on accounting issues, internal control systems and internal audit functions and other issues related to

corporate governance. In addition, has experience as an auditor and tax advisor with international accounting firms as well as legal experience as a corporate and securities attorney. CURMALLY, Atiyah

Atiyah Curmally is a Senior Environmental Specialist in the International Finance Corporation’s Environment, Social and Governance Department based out of Washington, DC. Her responsibilities include support to senior management on global sustainability issues and development of IFC’s environmental and social risk management advisory services for IFC’s financial markets and direct investment clients. Prior to this, she oversaw environmental and social investment support to IFC’s Financial Markets, Funds and Short-term Finance Departments. Ms. Curmally has been with IFC for 8 years. Her previous work experience includes positions with private sector and non-profit institutions focused on infrastructure project finance and risk

management for financial markets. Ms. Curmally has degrees in Environmental Policy and Economics from Brown University and the London School of Economics.

TRAN, Anh Dao

Ms. Dao has over 17 years of experience in the capital market. She joined HoChiMinh Trading Center (former of HoChiMinh Stock Exchange) in 1998. She is now the Executive Vice President responsible for Member Regulations, Corporate Communications and Research and Development Departments. She used to be the Head of Listing and Disclosures Department for several years. She also has strong experience in introducing corporate governance best practices for listed companies in Vietnam. She received Bachelor degree in International Business from HoChiMinh City University of Economics and Master of Commerce in Banking and Finance from

University of Sydney.

DHALIWAL, Bindu

Bindu Dhaliwal is Associate General Counsel & Director, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) for BMO. Bindu is responsible for: BMO’s sustainability performance disclosure; identifying and evaluating emerging ESG issues; and, engagement activities with the investor and NGO community on sustainability matters. Bindu is a frequent speaker on sustainability trends in the financial services sector, social finance and diversity in the legal profession. Prior to her current role Bindu supported the Wealth Management lines of business. Prior to joining BMO, Bindu worked a major Canadian law firm and clerked at the Ontario Court of Appeal. She has a Bsc. in Communications from the University of Toronto and obtained her law

degree at Queens University. She is licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario, Canada.

FREDERICK, Richard

Richard Frederick is a consultant who advises on issues of corporate governance and transparency. He was one of the principal authors of the OECD Principles of Corporate Governance, a contributor to the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the UN Guidance on Good Practices for Corporate Governance Disclosure, and the OECD Guidelines on the Governance of State-owned Enterprises among others.

Mr. Frederick has assisted in evaluating how states govern their provision of services to the public, and has assessed state-owned enterprise governance practices as part of setting lending conditions for the World Bank. He has consulted on improving governance practices in both the transportation industry and public water companies.

He is also an expert in the development of tools to measure the quality of corporate governance practices. He has developed governance assessment tools for regulators, listed companies and closely held businesses, and also conducted the first ever rating/ranking of SOEs according to their governance practices.

He worked with the Treuhandanstalt privatizing state-owned enterprises in eastern Germany and advised boards on the development of incentive compensation schemes while at KPMG. Formerly a Principal Administrator at the OECD and Director of Operations at the International Federation of Accountants, Mr. Frederick holds an undergraduate degree from Yale University and an MBA from INSEAD.

GERMANOVA, Ralitza

Ralitza has worked with IFC since 2008 coordinating capacity building activities in Southeast Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa as well as monitoring and developing work and knowledge materials on Corporate Governance Codes and Scorecards, institutional capacity building, bank governance. Prior to joining IFC, Ralitza worked for the United Nations Development Program in Bulgaria as a Coordinator of the UN Global Compact Network and Bulgarian Foreign Investment Agency. Ralitza holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Governance from HANKEN School of Economics in Helsinki, Finland.

HASLINGER, Reinhard

Reinhard Haslinger has joined the Vienna based World Bank team in 2007 to support the initial set up of the Centre for Financial Reporting Reform (CFRR) and its first programs. Since then, he works on the program management front which includes to develop, set up and manage regional capacity building programs and trust fund administration. He takes a leading role in coordinating the CFRR’s cooperation and liaison with development partners, as well as in communications.

Mr. Haslinger joined the World Bank in Washington DC in 2004 to work on capacity building programs and analytical work in the private and human development sectors. He co-authored World Bank publications on the incorporation of public entities

including the introduction of management and governance frameworks. Before joining the World Bank, Mr. Haslinger worked as a research associate at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, as a consultant for a development project in West Africa, and as marketing team leader in the private sector. Mr. Haslinger holds a M.Sc. in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

EL HUSSEINY, Yehia

Yehia El Husseiny is a Corporate Governance Project Officer at the International Finance Corporation (IFC, part of the World Bank Group), the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Yehia has 18 years of vast experience in Education, Training, and Corporate Governance. Yehia is leading IFC Advisory Services’ Corporate Governance projects in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine to improve firm performance and enhance access to finance by promoting better corporate governance practices among financial institutions, SMEs, and company boards. Yehia is advising private and public sector clients and is working closely with regulators, intermediaries, and companies to enhance their understanding of the business case for corporate governance; dealing with investors to enable them to

improve the corporate governance practices of their investee companies; advising regulators to develop an effective corporate governance framework; and building/supporting intermediaries, such as institutes of directors and training institutes, to provide training and advise clients on corporate governance. Yehia has contributed substantially to the development of the SME Governance program that is being replicated in other countries and regions, as well as to the creation and business/financial sustainability of more than eight local corporate governance training and service providers in MENA. As a direct result, these institutes are reaching out to many directors in the region thereby creating high impact. Yehia has presented at various seminars, conferences, and workshops across the region aimed at raising the awareness of Corporate Governance for listed companies, banks, family businesses, SMEs, and investors. Yehia holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with grade distinction from the Maastricht School of Management (MSM), the Netherlands and a BA Business Administration from the Faculty of Commerce (English Section), Cairo University, Egypt. Yehia is currently preparing his doctorate degree at GSU, USA. Yehia has a Cambridge Int’l Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT) and he has numerous certifications from various recognized and accredited international organizations in the areas of training, education, management information systems, and corporate governance.

EL SERAFI, Heba

Heba El Serafi is Head of Disclosure at the Egyptian Exchange. As such, she monitors all listed companies disclosures to the Egyptian Exchange and ensures listed companies’ compliance to governance and disclosure rules of the Egyptian Exchange. She also conducts corporate governance awareness programs to ensure market transparency and efficiency. Ms El Serafi is a certified Board of Directors Member by ISS and IFC and she served as a board member in Egypt for Information Dissemination Company (EGID). She was also a board member in Research & Commercial Studies Center – Cairo University. She also served as the Vice Chairman Corporate Governance Committee in the American Chamber.

Ms. El Serafi conducts training courses about capital market investment in different universities in Egypt. She has over ten years’ experience in research and capital market development and a considerable experience in securities' trading, market surveillance, companies’ governance as well as credit analysis and risk assessment. HANDOYO, Stefanus

Stefan currently is the Program Manager for the IFC East Africa Corporate Governance based in Nairobi, covering five countries – Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Ethiopia. Stefan has more than 15 years of experience in the field of corporate governance, including three years at IFC East Asia and Pacific CG Program. He first joined IFC Investment Services in 1998 as Investment Analyst. He set up the initial program of IFC Indonesia on corporate governance during the 1998 Asian financial crisis by helping established the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) in 2000. He left IFC in 2002 and moved to the Philippines, where he joined the Philippine Institute of Directors (ICD) and helped develop modules for its various course programs on directorship. He was part of the group of initiators of

the Institute of Directors in East Asia network (IDEA.net). He re-joined IFC Indonesia in May 2012 as Operations Officer.

Stefan is a key member of the Indonesian government’s task force in the drafting of the Indonesian Corporate Governance Roadmap and Manual. He was also involved in developing and launching the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard in Indonesia and the Philippines and has done CG Assessments for a number of IFC investment clients, mainly in East & South Africa and East Asia & Pacific region. He is a certified CG trainer and graduated from the Global Directorship Program of the School of Management of Yale University, USA. He holds a bachelor degree in Physics Engineering from Indonesia, a Master of Science in Industrial Economics from the Philippines and an Advanced Management Program certificate from IESE Business School, Spain. He is the recipient of the 2013 Global Deloitte Scholarship Program of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN) and member of the Asian Corporate Governance Association (ACGA).

HERRON, Abigail

Abigail leads responsible investment and corporate governance engagement across all asset classes and markets at Aviva Investors. She compliments this work with public policy advocacy in the UK, EU and UN on a spectrum of issues from sustainable capital markets through to fiduciary duty and green bonds.

She previously headed up corporate governance at The Co-operative Asset Management (TCAM) leading on executive pay, corporate responsibility and sustainability and ensuring a cutting edge approach to ESG integration across all asset classes. During her tenure TCAM received 'Best Steward of the Year' in the Financial News Asset Management Awards and Best Users of Research - Thomson Reuters Extel SRI-Connect survey as well as providing national pension fund NEST with bespoke consultation. TCAM became the first investor to ascribe to the Stewardship Code and to factor in gender into their voting policy.

Abigail sits on the UKSIF Leadership Committee, the 30% Club Investor’s Steering Committee, ICAEW Corp Gov Committee, NAPF Stewardship Forum, Travis Perkins Non-Executive Environmental Advisory Panel, is a technical advisor to the Zoological Society of London's palm oil group & a Trustee of the Chartered Secretaries’ Charitable Trust.

She is a founder member of the North West ICSA group, an advisor at Reputation Consultancy and focused on the impact of a loss of pollinators on investment returns when completing the Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business at the University of Cambridge. Previously she advised FTSE4Good on the banking sector and Carbon Smart on sustainability and carbon data assurance.

Abigail is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) and a chartered company secretary. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities, a finance graduate of Sheffield University’s Management School and holds the UK Green Build Council’s certificate in sustainability. She previously worked at the law firm Eversheds in the corporate department where she provided compliance and legal advice to a variety of listed and private clients. Prior to this, Abigail worked for a Minister of Parliament.

LANDY, Morgan

Morgan Landy is Director of IFC’s Transactional Risk Solution / Environment, Social and Governance Team and helps lead the Corporation in fulfilling its strategic commitments to sustainable development. IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, is the largest global development institution focused exclusively on the private sector. Prior to assuming his current position in December 2013, Mr. Landy held a series of other senior positions at IFC, most recently as the Global Head for Power and Renewable Energy. Before joining IFC, Mr. Landy worked in the investment banking team at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York. Mr. Landy holds a B.A. from Amherst College and an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins

University School of Advanced International Studies. Mr. Landy is based at the IFC headquarters in Washington, D.C. LEKVALL, Per

Per Lekvall is the Executive Director of the Swedish Corporate Governance Board. Prior to this he was Head Secretary of the Governmental Commission on Business Confidence and of the Code Group, which developed the Swedish Code of Corporate Governance. For about ten years from its start as a nationwide organization in the mid 1990’s he was also the CEO of the Swedish Academy of Board Directors. Per Lekvall holds a Masters’ degree from the Gothenburg School of Economics and Business Administration. He has also performed studies as a Guest Student in the doctoral programs of the graduate schools of business at Carnegie-Mellon

University and Stanford University. After a management career with focus on international business development at the Swedish forestry group SCA he entered the consulting industry and was for several years in the CEO of the Swedish management consulting subsidiary of UK-based PA Consulting Group. Since then he has been an adviser to company managements and boards on matters of business strategy and corporate governance through his own consultancy practice Boardroom Consulting AB. Per Lekvall is a recurrent lecturer at Swedish universities and business schools and has published books and articles on the role of the board in SME-type companies and corporate governance in Swedish listed companies. Most recently he was the editor and main author of the SNS report The Nordic Corporate Governance Model, published in December 2014.

LIN, (Maggie) Zhaowen

Zhaowen (Maggie) Lin had served as a Corporate Governance Officer with the International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), a member of the World Bank Group, during 2008 to 2015. Ms Lin was mainly responsible for assessing corporate governance risks and formulating mitigating strategies for the IFC investment clients in East Asia and Pacific. Ms Lin had actively participated in OECD Corporate Governance Asian Roundtable proactively committed to promoting international best practices of corporate governance in this region. Ms. Lin has extensive experience in advising corporations to develop and implement corporate governance strategies, improve board practices, and assess corporate governance risks. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, Maggie used to work in Hong Kong for Allen & Overy, and then as a

senior associate with Herbert Smith, an international legal practice. Maggie has 8-year experience in corporate legal services and she has actively involved in seven IPO projects in Hong Kong and several M&A projects. Min Liu joined IFC in 2003 and works as Operations Officer for Corporate Governance Advisory Program in EAP Region, International Finance Corporation. She worked with boards and senior management on designing and implementing their corporate governance systems, assessing and mitigating their risks, and developing their corporate governance policies and procedures. Min took the lead of development of Corporate Governance Curriculum for universities in China, and development of Board Directors Handbook. She is member of training expert group of Training Center under Shenzhen Stock Exchange where she provided corporate governance training to independent board members of public listed

companies in China. Min holds an MBA degree from Webster University (USA) and studied for LLM program in Sichuan University (China). Before joining IFC, she was a lawyer at Dingli Law Firm in and prior to that, she worked as a lecturer in law at Chengdu Normal University.

MONTAGNON, Peter

Peter Montagnon is Associate Director of the Institute of Business Ethics. He also serves as a member of the corporate governance advisory board of the Norges Bank Investment Management, as well as on the Board of the Hawkamah Institute, Dubai, and as a visiting professor at the Cass Business School. He was recently elected to an expert committee formed by Sika AG in Switzerland to monitor related party issues connected with the hostile bid for that company by St Gobain. Previously he held senior governance-related positions at the Association of British

Insurers and the Financial Reporting Council. As a journalist at the Financial Times for two decades his assignments included Head of the Lex Column, Asia Editor and Capital Markets Editor. He is a past chairman of the International Corporate Governance network and was a member of the European Corporate Governance Forum from 2006 to 2011. For the IBE he has published a Board Briefing on Ethics Risk and Governance and a report on Ethical Challenges facing Pension Fund Trustees. For the IBE also he has published a couple of other papers on remuneration, internal audit, and the role of the board ethics committees. He writes regularly for trade and business publications and is a frequent public speaker.

MOLYNEUX, Anne

Anne Molyneux, Director of CS International, a global consulting firm, is a Chartered Accountant, CPA and Master of Management. She is an experienced director and former trustee of pension funds and currently is a consultant in corporate governance. She is a business representative and contributor to the OECD Corporate Governance Steering Committee and to the OECD Asian Roundtable and she represents the investor community on the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Advisory Council, the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) Consultative Advisory Group. She is a fellow member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a member of the Institute of Directors and a member of the International Corporate Governance Network.

Mrs. Molyneux’ clients are governments, regulators, companies, boards and individual directors. In addition to private clients, her clients include the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Global Corporate Governance Forum (GCGF). Kiril Nejkov, Operations Officer, has been working in IFC since 2006. For the last 7 years he focuses on corporate governance, particularly on control environment. Before that he worked on alternative dispute resolution. Kiril has comprehensive experience in corporate governance from South-East Europe, the Caucasus and South Asia, including through provision of tailored support to over 50 companies and work on over 20 national and sector-specific regulations and standard. Kiril developed a number of publications and tools, including sections of the Control Environment Toolkit of IFC’s Corporate Governance Methodology. Before joining IFC, Kiril worked as adviser to the President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Macedonia, as well as expert for the EU, UNDP and the World Bank. Kiril holds a PhD in corporate governance from the

University of Skopje and LL.M in International Law from Cambridge University. NGUYEN, Nguyet Anh

Nguyet Anh is IFC’s Corporate Governance Project Lead in Vietnam. She joined IFC since September 2009. She has been collaborating and providing corporate governance advisory services to multi-sector clients and partners including the State Securities Commission of Vietnam, Stock Exchanges, the State Capital Investment Corporation, Educational institutions, companies, banks and investment funds in Vietnam. Prior to joining IFC, Nguyet Anh has extensive professional consulting experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers and other top world-wide accounting firms in auditing,

corporate finance and transaction advisory in Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand and USA. Some of her previous positions held were a Senior Manager of the transaction advisory services division of PricewaterhouseCoopers Vietnam (2008), Manager of corporate finance advisory services in KPMG Thailand (2005-2006), and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Asia Brown Bovery Group in Vietnam (2002-

Ellie Pang was a private practice lawyer with international firms in the City of London and in Hong Kong before joining the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2005. In the Policy team of the HKEX, Ellie has been involved in many of HKEX’s recent policy initiatives, including the Combined Consultation in 2008/2009, review of the Corporate Governance Code and related rules from 2010 to 2012, Board Diversity, Internal Control section of the Corporate Governance Code as well as the recent

consultation on the Environmental Social and Governance Reporting Guide. PAI, Abhijit

Abhijit Pai is Assistant General Manager in the Listing Compliance department of BSE Limited and is with BSE for 10 years. In his current role, Abhijit is responsible for monitoring day to day compliances, resolving regulatory queries and periodic regulatory reporting. He has also contributed in finalizing the Circulars issued for operationalizing the Listing Regulations. He is also involved in various initiatives related to automation of the compliance process. He is currently involved in the process of developing the CG Score card which is being developed for India in association with IFC. In his earlier role in BSE, Abhijit has worked in the Information Products department

and has extensively interacted with users of trading and compliance data. Abhijit is a Master of Management from Shailesh J Mehta School of Management and possesses a B. Tech in Electrical Engineering. POPOSKI, Klime Klime Poposki is the President of the Council of Experts of the Insurance Supervisions Agency, Macedonia, since 2009. He was re-elected for a second term in November 2014 from the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia. Before joining the newly established ISA, he worked for the University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Ohrid as an Associate Professor in the field of risk management insurance and corporate finance. His working career started in 1995 in a banking sector. Since 1999 he joined the University St. Kliment Ohridski, Ohrid as a teaching assistant. Klime has completed his education at the Faculty of Economics, University "Ss. Cyril and Methodius", Skopje, Macedonia obtaining his Ph.D. in 2006. During his affluent professional career he has attended numerous seminars, trainings, and conferences in the country and abroad, and has also participated in numerous projects as consultant, trainer, and expert in the area of risk management, insurance and financial management. Of his numerous study visits the following may be noted: Post-doctoral research in 2008 at the School of Business and Economics, Humbolt University Berlin, Germany; A study visit with USAID scholarship at University of Wisconsin, USA, in the period 2004-2005; and financial accounting, management accounting, and financial reporting training in June 2000 at Nottingham Trent University – Business School, Nottingham, UK. RAMALHO, Ansie

Ansie Ramalho is an authority on corporate governance with both theoretical and applied knowledge of the topic. She believes that corporate governance can and should be harnessed to the benefit of the economy, society and the natural environment. Ansie is currently the King IV Project Lead at the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa (IoDSA). The role involves ensuring the successful finalization of the King IV Report on Corporate Governance for South Africa, including design of process and governance structures, liaison with stakeholders and content management and editing. She serves on the boards of the South African National Blood Service and Turning

Point Home as well as the Appointments Committee of ZA Central Registry. Ansie regularly consults, writes and presents on the various aspects of corporate law, directors’ duties and governance. She also serves on a number of technical committees that drive initiatives in these areas. Ansie is also a certified results coach. Her prior position at the IoDSA was that of Chief Executive which presented her with the opportunity to hone her leadership and strategic skills. Before joining the IoDSA, Ansie cut her business teeth at KPMG in the corporate restructuring and recovery environment with assignments that included the Saambou Bank receivership and Kebble insolvency. Ansie played a key role in respect of both. The experience on business failure was applied with much fruit when she later took up the position as a dedicated corporate governance specialist within KPMG. RAHMAN, Lopa

Lopa Rahman is the Corporate Governance Specialist for IFC based in Dhaka Bangladesh and leads Corporate Governance Advisory Projects for South Asia, with specific activities in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka. In addition to providing Corporate Governance Assessments for clients for advisory, she provides critical support to Investment Officers in drafting Corporate Governance Review reports and risk assessments for investment transactions. She started her IFC career in January 2010 as consultant to the Global Corporate Governance Forum in Washington DC where she was responsible for projects in Asia. In South Asia she has provided Corporate Governance Advisory Services to family owned businesses, SMEs, women entrepreneurs, and financial institutions ;

conducting board training, CG Assessments and family governance consultation. A law graduate from the University of Malaya and has been admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. She practiced law with a law firm in Kuala Lumpur before joining the KLSE Group. She has held various positions in the Exchange Group of Companies and has significant experience in the business of stock exchange and the capital markets. Selvarany has been extensively involved in various areas of securities regulation as well as capital market development initiatives. She is currently a member of the OECD Asian Roundtable for Corporate Governance and has played an active role in the development of guides and best practices in the area of corporate governance for

Asia. She is also a member of the Capital Market Compensation Fund in Malaysia.

She is presently the Chief Regulatory Officer of Bursa Malaysia Berhad. In her present position she is responsible for the frontline regulation undertaken by Bursa which includes market surveillance, listing, participant supervision, enforcement and regulatory development. RAZOOK, Chris

Chris Razook is the IFC Corporate Governance Lead for the East Asia and Pacific (EAP) region. Chris has over 15 years of experience in the area of corporate governance and supports IFC’s investments by working with companies to strengthen their governance frameworks. Chris has also provided assistance to central banks, capital market authorities, and other regulatory bodies in drafting corporate governance laws, codes, and listing rules. Chris has undergraduate degree in Engineering, an MBA in International Finance, and an LLM in Corporate Law.

ROBINETT, David

David Robinett is a Senior Private Sector Development Specialist in the World Bank's Finance and Markets Global Practice. He began his corporate governance career in 2001 at the OECD and has worked on corporate governance policy in a range of emerging market economies, including Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Romania, Thailand, Vietnam, and Zambia. Dr. Robinett recently completed a short-term assignment in the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and is leading the preparation of a toolkit on non-financial disclosure and integrated reporting. He has authored or coauthored a number publications on corporate governance, including Held by the Visible Hand: The Challenge of State Owned Enterprise Corporate

Governance for Emerging Markets. Dr. Robinett has a PhD in economics from the George Washington University. SALAZAR, Loty

Loty Salazar is a Knowledge Management and Communications Officer with IFC’s Corporate Governance Group. She manages strategic communications, including media relations and outreach and dissemination activities for the global team. She also leads the Women on Boards program, which aims to promote the business benefits associated with gender diversity in corporate boards.

Prior to joining IFC, Loty worked with the World Bank on a wide range of projects, including media development, public sector governance, and social and agriculture development. She has managed trust funds and implemented projects related to gender diversity, small and medium enterprises, microfinance, and voice and

accountability. A Bolivian national, she is based in Washington D.C. but has lived and worked extensively in Southeast Asia and successfully completed assignments around the world. Loty holds a Master’s Degree in International Development from George Washington University. She speaks fluent English and Spanish and has a working knowledge of German and Portuguese.

SANDENBURGH, Robin

Robin Sandenburgh has been with IFC for 20 years. She is currently Senior Manager in IFC’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) group, managing support to the Latin America and Caribbean region as well as enhanced ESG support to clients. Robin joined IFC as a consultant in 1995 in the Harare regional office as the first non-DC based environmental specialist. She spent 10 years with IFC in Africa, before moving to the Delhi office in 2004, Cairo office in 2009 and Istanbul office in 2011. She has worked on investment projects across all industry sectors in Africa, South Asia, Middle East/North Africa and Eastern Europe/Central Asia. Throughout her tenure at IFC she has worked closely with IFC’s Advisory programs on sustainability: in 2006-07 she promoted and then led the development of the South Asia region’s

climate change agenda and, in 2010, co-chaired a joint advisory and investment team responsible for preparing a regional water mapping and work plan for MENA. Prior to joining IFC, Robin had a 15-year career in the US and Africa as a consultant to private firms, the US Environmental Protection Agency and other government agencies on a wide range of projects related to natural resources management, environmental remediation, community engagement, and climate change issues. She holds an A.B. in History and Sociology from Brown University and a Master’s degree in Public Policy Studies from the University of Michigan. STRENGER, Christian

Christian Strenger is deputy chair of PSAG. He is a member of the German Government Commission on Corporate Governance and the Capital Markets Committee/German Ministry of Finance, as well as director of the Center for Corporate Governance at the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. Furthermore, he is a Chairman or member of several supervisory boards [DWS Investment GmbH (Frankfurt), a leading international mutual fund manager; Evonik Industries AG (Essen), Fraport AG (Frankfurt), The Germany Funds (New York/Chairman), and TUI AG (Hannover)]. He is also an advisor for capital markets, corporate finance, and asset management matters. Strenger is past chairman

(2005/06) of the International Corporate Governance Network’ (ICGN). He received the lifetime Achiever Award from the International Corporate Governance Network in 2014 in recognition for his contributions to corporate governance globally. Other professional highlights: In 1972, Strenger assumed investment banking responsibilities at the Deutsche Bank head office in Frankfurt. In 1982, he became general manager at Deutsche Bank, London Branch. From 1986 to 1991, he was chief executive of the Investment Banking activities for Deutsche Bank in New York. From 1991 to 1999 Strenger was CEO of DWS Investment GmbH in Frankfurt/Main. He received the lifetime Achiever Award from the International Corporate Governance SIMONETTI, Roberta

Roberta Simonetti holds a PhD in Physics, a Master in Sciences and an MBA in Sustainability Management from FGV. She currently acts as an independent consultant in the sustainability field, working with important companies in Brazil. She is member of the GISR (Global Initiative for Sustainability Ratings) Steering Committee, member of the Advisory Committee for the SRI funds of HSBC Asset Management Brazil and coordinates the CESE, a Commission on Corporate Sustainability Studies at IBGC, the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance. From 2006 to 2013 she was part of the Center for Sustainability Studies (GVces) team, an initiative of Fundação Getulio Vargas, a leading business school in Brazil.

She coordinated the Sustainable Finance Program, which aimed at building a more sustainable financial sector by engaging with the financial sector in order to increase awareness, knowledge and capacity. During

this period she was the executive coordinator of the Brazilian Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE), the fourth sustainability index in the world launched in 2005 by the Brazilian Stock Exchange (BM&FBOVESPA), being responsible for the reviewing process of the methodology and leading the selection process of the companies to integrate the index. She also worked closely with the FEBRABAN, the Brazilian Bank Federation, coordinating and conducting the process to develop an Indicator Matrix for the Green Protocol, a set of principles and guidelines mutually committed to between the Brazilian Bank Federation and the Brazilian Ministry of Environment in 2009, which played an important role, helping to pave the road for the new Brazilian Central Bank resolution of social end environment policy and report of the banking sector.

From 1997 to 2006 she worked as a Risk Manager and Quantitative Analyst for ING Group Brazil, being responsible for the Treasury risk assessment and global risk polices implementation in Brazil, developing pricing models, value-at-risk calculation and scenario analysis for the bank’s proprietary positions in bonds, stocks and derivatives. SUMMERFIELD, Daniel

Daniel co-heads the Responsible Investment Team of USS Investment Management, the fund manager for Universities Superannuation Scheme, the UK's largest pension fund. He is responsible for leading USS’s work to improve the corporate governance performance of markets, companies and funds in which USS invests by engaging on key operational, strategic and governance risks as part of the internal investment process. He is also responsible for coordinating the public affairs activities of USS Investment Management. Daniel serves as a member of a number of committees in the UK and overseas including the NAPF’s Stewardship Advisory Group, the Investment Association’s Governance and Engagement Committee and the ICAEW’s corporate governance

committee. Previously, he was the head of corporate governance at the Institute of Directors where he was responsible for the Institute of Director’s work on corporate governance. Daniel also currently serves as a chair of governors and trustee of a local school and is an Honorary Visiting Fellow at the Cass Business School of the City University London. STENNING DE LAVALLE, Francis

CEO - Bolsa de Valores de Lima (BVL) Mr. Stenning has more than 20 years of experience in the Peruvian Capital Markets. He joined the BVL as CEO in 2009, after spending almost ten years as Chairman and CEO, CAVALI, (the Peruvian CSD). Among other important initiatives, under his leadership the BVL founded MILA (Integrated Latin American Market) together with the Chilean, Colombian and Mexican Exchanges. Besides his duties at the Exchange, he remains as Chairman of CAVALI´s Board and serves as board member of Chile´s Commodities Exchange (Bolsa de Productos de

Chile) and the Bolivian CSD (Entidad de Depósito de Bolivia - EDV). During the past decade, he also provided advisory services and conducted assessment projects for Central Banks and Regulatory Agencies (on Post-Trade Operations and Payment Systems issues) in El Salvador, Dominican Republic and Guatemala. Prior to joining the BVL Group in 1999, Mr. Stenning held various management positions - mostly related to Investment Banking – with different financial institutions, locally and abroad. Mr. Stenning holds a MBA from the Arthur D. Little MEI (Boston, Massachusetts) and a BA in Economics from the Universidad del Pacífico (Lima, Perú).

VERMEULEN, Erik P.M.

A Professor of Business and Financial Law at Tilburg University and Tilburg Law and Economics Center

(TILEC). He is also Head of Governance at Philips Lighting (a global market leader with recognized

expertise in the development, manufacturing and application of innovative (LED) lighting solutions) in the

Netherlands. After serving as an officer in the Royal Netherlands Air Force, he graduated cum laude from

Tilburg University with a master degree in law in 1998. He worked for several years as a Research Fellow

and Lecturer at Tilburg University and Legal Counsel at Philips in the Netherlands. He then earned a PhD

in Law and Economics (cum laude) from Tilburg University’s Business Law Department.

Much of his current research and work focus on the life cycle of a company - from idea to fully mature

company, the sources of capital available at each stage of a company’s development, and the role of

corporate governance in encouraging innovation and maintaining an entrepreneurial spirit across a

company’s life cycle. The law and economics of start-up companies (and other non-listed companies) is

discussed in the book Corporate Governance of Non-Listed Companies (Oxford University Press). In the

context of the corporate life cycle, he also examines international trends and developments in the area of

company law and securities regulations. This research is collected in the book The Evolution of Legal

Business Forms in Europe and the United States: Venture Capital, Joint Ventures and Partnership

Structures (Kluwer Law International). Furthermore, his research focuses on financial markets, innovation

policies and ecosystems. He is a frequent speaker on these topics and has published extensively in top

journals and books.

In 2006, he became the Director of the International Business Law LLM Program at Tilburg University. With its emphasis on both theory and practice, International Business Law has become one of the most successful LLM programs of Tilburg Law School. Each year the program attracts approximately hundred students to Tilburg from countries around the world. He teaches courses on corporate governance, venture capital, entrepreneurship, joint ventures and company law. He frequently lectures on these and other topics at universities in various countries. He also serves as a Vice President at the legal department of Philips Lighting. He advises on corporate governance, corporate law, corporate venturing, international joint ventures, public private partnerships and mergers and acquisitions. Philips’ anchor investment in a transatlantic venture capital fund through which it complements its long-term open innovation strategy in the healthcare sector is an illustrative example. Finally, he regularly serves as an expert advisor and consultant to companies and numerous organizations, such as the European Commission, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation, the Dutch Development Finance Institution, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and several national and local governments around the world, concerning innovation, financial and venture capital markets, corporate law, and corporate governance of listed and non-listed companies. VIEGAS, Marta

Marta is a partner of TozziniFreire Advogados, dedicated to corporate law, corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions. She has 18 years of experience advising clients in transactional work and a wide variety of matters such as shareholders’ relations, voting rights, management liability, related party transactions and conflicts’ of interest. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC) and has been in the forefront of the corporate governance discussions in Brazil. Marta has participated in the drafting of the 5th edition of the IBGC Code of Best Corporate Governance Practices and is the coordinator of the efforts to create the Brazilian Corporate Governance Code, a code under the “apply

or explain” model that is intended to become mandatory for listed companies in 2017. The Brazilian Corporate Governance Code is being drafted in a joint effort by 11 capital markets entities, under the

coordination of the IBGC and observation of the Brazilian securities regulator and the Brazilian development bank. Marta is also a member of the fiscal council of Brasilprev Seguros e Previdência S.A. and acted as a member of the audit committee of the same company from 2007 to 2011. Kerrie is Executive Director of ICGN having joined the company in 2008 as Chief Operating Officer responsible for building the business in light of rapid membership growth. Erik is an expert in financial advisory services of FI and Insurance institutions regarding Corporate Governance, Internal audit, Compliance, Anti-Money-Laundering, and Anti-Fraud-Management and worked as an internal auditor in a German bank and as a manager at PwC Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. Currently he serves as a Senior Corporate Governance Officer of the DEG (German Development Bank) to incorporate the topic into DEG's current investment processes in a structured way.
