lives of the marginalized better. They desire neither riches nor fame. The reward they
seek is a thank you or a boost in condence from those they are working for. A smile

Contribution of the Jains to the Nation is considerable, besides their contribution to
education, healthcare, literature and culture. The Trust plans to bring the contributions
made by Jains in each of these spheres to light with special emphasis on giving a
helping hand to the needy specially from the Jain religion.
Be it education in school, college, healthcare, surgery or destitution the community's
afuent members extend their full nancial support through the Trust. This is an inherent
attribute of the members as the elders in their native villages always ensured that no
one lacked for food. More than ve hundred educational scholarships help students go
to schools and colleges. The Trust also helps widows and destitute women belonging to
Jain community by providing them monthly stipend. So far from the year 2007 onwards
more than 100 widows & destitute women every month had been provided an
assistance amounting to Rs.55,15,150/- in this regard. Whatever be the need of the less
fortunate, the Trust gives a helping hand to make sure that they get a chance to
establish themselves.
The Trust also provides nancial assistance to Jain students both boys and girls to
enable them to continue their studies in Arts & Science Colleges as well as in
Professional colleges. Those students are helped to pursue their higher studies which
otherwise they would not have been able to do, because of their economic condition. A
token collection of their fees is paid by the applicants, the full amount of tuition fees etc. 17

light particularly referring to patients suffering from cancer or other serious diseases,
more so regarding patients having terminal and incurable cancer and other such
serious diseases. This centre aims to minimize pain and suffering and improve the
quality of life of the patient and the family during regular curative treatment and after.
