The Nut Cracker

Experience the magic of The Nutcracker this holiday season with Royal City Youth Ballet’s full length ballet, featuring a cast of 100+ dedicated and enthusiastic dancers, under the artistic direction of Dolores Kirkwood, OBC Performing to Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s beautiful music, this traditional ballet has beautiful sets designed by Jan Claude Olivier and extravagant costumes by Chris Sinosich.

There are magical soldiers, mice, a Sugar Plum Fairy, and a growing Christmas tree, along with snowflakes, Snow King and Queen, Waltz of the Flowers, Arabian, Spanish and other favorites.

A holiday tradition for many families, this unique show delights audiences of all ages!

The West Coast Christmas Show is Western Canada’s leading Holiday Season Show that brings together under one roof over 200 exhibits. On the show floor, visitors will discover new ideas and products for holiday entertaining and home decorating as well as gift ideas from local vendors and merchants from around the world. This includes over one hundred select artisans will be offering items rantging from wood, stone, iron and glass works to jewelry, clothing, paintings, body care, ornaments and even sink blings! Enjoy the Sounds of the Holidays Stage, where Fraser Valley schools, community choral groups and bands will be performing Holiday entertainment all while wandering through a Christmas fantasy land of decorated Christmas trees set up by local Fraser Valley charitable organizations. There will be fun for the kids in Santa’s Workshop with free Christmas cookie decorating, free sand-art picture making, writing letters to Santa and free help with your model making project.

We are excited to announce a new event that is sure to become a Christmas tradition, the 3nd Annual Toys for Tots Christmas Breakfast, presented by the Ramada Plaza & Conference Centre and Envision Financial, benefiting the Abbotsford Christmas Bureau. This promises to be a fun & festive event that works around your busy Christmas schedule. The event will take place on November 27 from 6am – 9:30am and will be an open event; it’s free to attend, all we ask is that you bring a new toy or monetary donation for the Christmas Bureau.

You can drop by anytime from 6am – 9:30am with your toy or $ donation and enjoy a free buffet breakfast. There will be fantastic live entertainment – including a photobooth provided by CheddarBooth, a visit from Santa, and live Christmas music, emceed by comedian Cliff Prang. For those who don’t have time to come in, we will have a drive-thru in the parking lot for people to drop off their donations & enjoy a free coffee or hot chocolate and timbits before heading off to work.
