Career Brief: Started as a trainee and have scaled myself to Systems Engineer during my span of 4.5 years at Tata Consultancy Services. Currently, working as a developer in Business Intelligence System for one of the leading UK Insurance Company- Aviva UKGI. 4.5 years of diversified experience in development of data warehouse solutions involving InformaticaPower Center 9.1.0. Expertise in implementing and developing the complex ETL processes against Data sources systems in accordance to the standards maintained. 4.5 years experience in development of Teradata Utility scripts and unix scripting. Experience and knowledge of Teradata13.0 architecture and Components and hands-on on the Teradata 13.0 utilities such as BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad and FastExport. Experience in designing Mappings, Mapplets, Sessions, Workflows, Re-usable transformation and other tasks in Informatica Power Center. Experience in creating ADs(Application Description) in Tivoli and have the knowledge of scheduling jobs in Tivoli. Roles & Responsibilities Held: Informatica Developer - Developed complex logics in ETL using Informatica to process the data into EDW/CDL. Shell Script Developer – Have developed unix wrappers to trigger workflows and generic wrappers which can be re-used across all the projects. BTEQ Utility – Have experience in the BTEQ Utitlity provided by Teradata. This utility was used to do data fix in the higher environments. B2b(Data Transformation) – Have experience in developing b2b code which was used to generate flat files by reading the XMLs(XMLs were received from the Guidewire front end). Tivoli Developer : Have experience in the scheduling tool Tivoli which is used to trigger the scripts. Have developed ADs and JCLs required for triggering the jobs.

Project Experience:

Project Name - QMH Receivables : The purpose of the project was to process all the premiums/claims that were raised through Quote Me Happy(QMH) and the main purpose was to calculate the receivables that Aviva got through QMH..

Project Name - Carpenters Accrediation : The process is to extract data from Carpenter SQL servers and verify whether the data processed from Carpenters are matching with that of SQL server's or not. Premiums and Claims are the important feeds in this module.

Project Name - Guidewire MI :

IDS : The main process is to extract the XMLs keyed-in by the end users, in oracle. And to process them using B2B(Business to Business) to create flat files. These files created will be used as source for ETL processing and will be loaded into IDS(Integrated Data Store). The goal of this piece of work stream is to build the foundation of IDS and to extend the usage of IDS by feeding data for EDW and UN Sanctions.

Commercial DS : This part of the Guidewire MI is post foundation and goal of the project is to filter all the unwanted process in IDS. In this project, UN Sanctions data and EDW data(Only required information) was keyed-in in Oracle. UNS and EDW data was separated from source itself which de-commissioned IDS.

Critical MI : As the name suggests this project was very critical to the business. Business wanted this project to be completed as soon as possible. The data expected via this particular Guidewire source was PML. This project was same as IDS but the source was different and the format of data that was being keyed-in was different. However, there was no EDW downstream for this.

Software Used: Informatica, Teradata, UNIX, Data transformation studio and Tivoli.
