REGULATIONS OF PAYMENT FEES FOR UNDERGRADUATE
STUDENTS UNIVERSITY MALAYSIA PAHANG
1.0 OBJECTIVE
1.0 Payments are subjected to cover all the fees that are required for
students as defined by the authorities of University Malaysia
Pahang.
2.0 PAYMENT REGULATIONS
2.1 New Students
2.1.1 New Local Student is compulsory to pay all the
necessary payments that have been set at least during
registration.
2.1.2 New International Student is compulsory to pay the fees
for one year at least during registration.

2.2 Senior Students
2.2.1 Undergraduate
2.2.1.1 All sponsored or non-sponsored senior student
is compulsory to pay all the fees that have been
set at least on the first week after the midterm
holiday.
2.2.2 Students Who Completed Scholarship/Loan Or Applying
Extension of Scholarship/Loan
2.2.2.1 Undergraduate Program Students who had been
terminated their scholarship/loan or applying for
extension of scholarship / loan is compulsory
pay all tuition fees at least on the first week
after the midterm holiday.
2.2.3 Sponsorship Students but Not Fully Sponsored
2.2.3.1 Undergraduate Students must clarify the item of
difference that are not sponsored by the
sponsor at least on the first week after the
midterm holiday.

3.0 PAYMENT REGULATION FOR III SEMESTER STUDENTS
3.1 Types of fees imposed ( for offered subjects only )
3.1.1 Lecturing Fees
Lecturing fees that will be imposed are according to total
credit hours taken as follows:

(Flying Professor subject)
Dual Degree UMP HsKA RM60.00/credit hours
(non-Flying Professor subject)
3.1.1 Hostel Fees

Follows the days counted accroding to Semester III.
Exception are only given towards students that are not
living in hostel starting from the start of Semester III.
4.0 PAYMENT REGULATIONS FOR STUDENTS TAKING
INDUSTRIAL TRAINING
4.1 Industrial Training fees rates are according to current rates
following designated programs and courses.
5.0 UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT IN ADVANCED SEMESTER
5.1 Advanced semester undergraduate students (exceeded study
duration for normal semester) who take 9 hours of credit for
Diploma and 12 hour credit for Bachelors Degree or less are
qualified for lecturing fees according to these rates:

5.2 Other fees will need to be completed fully.
5.3 No fees reduction for student who are still in common semester.
5.4 No fees reduction for students who are taking Industrial Training
in advanced semester.
6.0 OTHER RULES
6.1 Withdrawal from Hostel while in Study (Undergraduate)
6.1.1 Students who withdraw or ended from staying in hostel
after 14 days of semester had started must settle hostel
fees payment completely.
6.1.2 New and senior students whom registered and quitted in
duration of 14 days of semester and already fullfil hostel
payments are qualified to collect payment balance from
deducted from days stayed in hostel.

a. New student whom withdraw/defer study after 14
days of registration must completer all fees for the
semester.
b. New local students in dual degree and university
collboration program whom withdraw/defer after 14
days of registration must complete all fees for the
semester with rates as Bachelors Degree student in
the same categories.
6.1.3 Senior Student
a. Students who withdraw from study after 14 days of
semester had started must settle all fees payment
completely.
b. Local senior students in dual degree and university
collaboration program whom registered and
withdraw after 14 days of semester start must
complete all fees for the semester with the same
rate as Bachelors Degree in the same category.
6.1.4 Deferment of Studies
Students who had their study postponement approved
by the University Authority on a certain semester are
required to pay fees as follows :

6.1.4.1 Students who defer their studies within 14 days
after the semester begins, tuition fees will be
refunded deducted from days stayed in hostel.
6.1.4.2 If approval was given before mid-semester
break ends, students are required to pay half of
the tuition fees.
6.1.4.3 If approval was given after the mid semester
break ends, students are required to pay all the
tuition fees.
6.1.4.4 Other fees must be fully paid for items 6.3.3.2
and 6.3.3.3 above, while the hostel fees must
be follow the hostel regulation of hostel
withdrawal while in study.
6.2 Medical Leave
Students who had their postponement with medical leave
approved by the University Authority on a semester fee will be
refunded deducting the payment for hostel stay.
6.3 Money Refunds
6.3.1 Personal Bond Refunds for international students who
have graduated from the UMP will be paid through bank
credit instructions. For this purpose, students must

submit details of the bank account either in Malaysia or
student’s country of origin. Refunds to third parties is not
allowed.
6.3.2 University are able to coordinate any excess remaining
to be paid to students with any fees or any payment that
are still outstanding.
6.3.3 All refund applications will only be processed for
transactions application during current year only except
for the deposit account. If the application is a
transactions which had exceeded university’s accounting
year, then there is no refund will be made. The
University financial year is ending on 31 December.
7.0 ACTIONS ON STUDENTS WHO FAILED TO SETTLE
PAYMENTS
7.1 Students who failed to pay all fees within specified period will be
penalized as follow :-
7.1.1 Not allowed to enrol subjects registration.
7.1.2 Exam results are detained
7.1.3 Transcript of examination results are detained
7.1.4 Not allowed to attend the convocation
7.1.5 Attending the lecturers are detained
7.1.6 Being withheld from examination
7.1.7 Suspended from studies
7.1.8 Be discontinued

8.0 TUITION FEES RATE
The tuition fee is based on the current rate according to the
programs and courses have been set.
