FrontAccessSeriesThis range of batteries has been designed for use in 19” or 23" cabinets commonly found in telecommunication applications and larger UPS systems. Due to their space-saving design 4 batteries can be mounted side-to-side occupying one shelve in a cabinet. Since the connections are on the front of the battery there is no need to leave a space above the batteries for the measurement of individual battery voltage or maintenance of the connections.

2VoltSCSeriesThe SC (Single Cell) or monoblock series is made of individual cells each providing 2 Volt. By combining multiple cells, batteries of nearly every voltage and capacity can be made. Depending on the capacity of the cell, one, two or four connection points for the positive and negative connections are available.

FullGelThe pbq gel batteries are VRLA batteries with a gelled electrolyte; the sulphuric acid is mixed with silica fume, which makes the resulting mass gel-like and immobile. This process decreases significantly the evaporation of hydrogen and the gelled electrolyte will also not stratify, which makes equalization charging redundant.Gel batteries are best used in VERY DEEP cycle application and may last a bit longer under hot weather circumstances. The recharge voltage on this type of battery is lower than the other styles of lead acid battery.

CyclicSeriesThe pbq cyclic batteries differ from standard batteries in several ways: the lead plates are made of an other alloy and the grids are shaped differently than those found in standard VRLA batteries. Due to the addition of other metals, the lead plates are harder while the different grid shape ensures an excellent conductivity and improved adhesion between the plates and the paste.

HighDischargeRateSeriesThe range of special High Discharge models offer excellent characteristics for applications that require very high discharge rates. Designed for a functional life of 4-5 years at 25oC in backup applications, these batteries are ideal for space limited ap-plications requiring more power than can be delivered by a standard battery. For example, the 9Ah version has dimensions equal to those of a standard 7Ah but contains nearly 30% more energy.

10-yearLongLifeSeriesThese VRLA batteries use thicker plates than the standard models. The pbq LongLife batteries have an excellent performance in both float and cyclic use. The casing is made of Flame Retardant ABS and still comply to the RoHS regulations. This battery is the right choice for UPS applications. The batteries comply to the Eurobat standard High Performance.

Generalpurpose4and6voltSeriesA large number of manufacturers are shrinking their product range by dropping the lower capacity models in general and the 6 volt batteries in particular. However, pbq has a full series of 6 volt models available for a wide range of applications and intents to keep this range in production for many years to come. These batteries have been designed for a functional life of 4-5 years at an operating temperature of 25oC in a standby application.
