MAXIMIZE THE USE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE

1 BULLETIN BOARDGoal : Maximize space and opportunity

Objective : Pupils involvement and sense of appreciation.

Strategy : A new board will be prepared to show projects done

news items, pupils creative writing, poems, idioms,

word based items and others. Teachers should consi

the caption, colors and illustration done. Besides thathe materials should be change regularly. A special

committee will be assign to plan the management of

board. Pupils will be encourage to share their ideas

materials on the board.

2 CHORAL READINGGoal : Maximize pupils involvement and self-esteem

Objective : Improve pupils pronunciation and projection of voice

Strategy : An activity where a material or text will be given to

group of pupils. They will read it emotionally. Pupils

have to think about the meaning of the text, rhythm

sounds of every line and sentences. They have toidentify places on where to pause and words that sho

be focus upon. Choral Reading helps pupils to learn

process of accurate pronunciation and verify voice to

tempo and voice quality.

Goal : Maximize schools staff involvement

Objective : Improve pupils ability to converse in English.

Strategy : An activity where school should declare a day in a w

as English Day. On this day, all pupils, teachers and t

supportive officers will interact in English.

Simultaneously, pupils will have the opportunity andcourage to use English in their daily activities. The

school also could held English Week once a month or

once every two month.

Objective : Improve pupils capabilities and motivation.

Strategy : Activities such as Story-telling, Poetry Recital, Spelli

Bee, English Quiz and Debate will be incorporated in

school based competitions. These activities will give

pupils the chance to express or show their talent. Thpupils will be a role-model to other pupils. Relevan

topics and story titles should be pick as a stimulus to

great presentation.

Objective : Identify pupils potential and relevant exercises.

Strategy : Activities such as Language Games, Spelling

Bee, Readathon, Jazz Chants, English Quiz and other

activities will give the pupils the chance to use Englithe class and for those who are quite ashamed to pre

in public. Teacher will stage it in the class and suppo

the pupils by giving extra guidance and relevant

topics and titles. Remedial activities should be done
