PERFORMER concept

WP1 aims at providing the set of required scientific methodologies to support the global framework for energy performance assessment

Page 3: PERFORMER KO MEETING NICE - 12 th & 13 th September 2013 WP1short presentation

WP 1 content

OBJECTIVES : providing a global framework as well as a set of methodologies for in situ energy performance characterization, measurement and assessment

Task 1.1 : Define a comprehensive and coherent framework for the global quality process of performance assessment

Definition of a quality process ensuring the monitoring of building energy consumptions and the achievement of targeted performances (based on commissioning)

Definition of appropriate indicators, characterization of the buildings properties, characterization of « in use » conditions

Task 1.2 : Develop methodologies as well simulation models and tools to assess the in situ intrinsic performance of the buildings envelops

Development of a methodology to assess intrinsic performance of the envelope at the end of the construction during a short period Development of a methodology to assess intrinsic performance of the envelope using long term monitoring during operation phase

Task 1.3 : Develop methodologies to propose a cost optimized measurement assessment plan

Specification for a tool aiming at providing cost-optimized energy performance measurement plan enable to support PERFORMER solutions

Task 1.4 : methodologies for energy management, fault detection and diagnosis Specifications for a set of relevant tools to manage energy consumption and ensure continuity of the performances during the

operation phase Fault detection and diagnosis, performance monitoring, real time management and optimized control, visualization and reporting tools

Dependencies & Dependents for WP1

WP1/WP2 A high level of interaction is required in order to ensure the transfer

of the methodologies to WP2 Proposition to provide intermediate deliverables for WP2

WP1/WP3&4 WP1 has to support WP3 for the deployment of the PERFORMER

methodologies on demonstrators(indicators for perfromance assessment, characterization of the building and « in

use » conditions and occupant’s behavior)

WP1/WP5 WP1 has to provide relevant inputs for WP5, in particular general

principles replicable for the development of a business model for the exploitation of the PERFORMER solution

Intermediate deliverable for WP2

Page 8: PERFORMER KO MEETING NICE - 12 th & 13 th September 2013 WP1short presentation

For the first 6 months, main stakes are :

Task 1.1 (Global Framework - T0 ->T0+12) : Interact with WP3 in order to ensure the consistency

with PERFORMER demonstrators Ensure to provide a « european view » required for a

replication strategy (WP5) Fist step : All participants send to CSTB contribution

about state of art

Task 1.2 (Intrinsic performance - T0 –> T0+15) : Develop the 2 PERFORMER methodologies for intrinsic

performance assessment Identify the way of validation (in situ experimentation

and/or mockup)

Task 1.3&1.4 (Cost optimized measurement plan and energy consumption management - T0+5 –> T0+15)

Set up dedicated work team for the 4 subtasks, Identify the PERFORMER scientific methods (state of art

required) Identify the better way of interaction with WP2 to transfer

the methodologies developped

WP1 implementation plan for first 6 months

Asking for 3 months more in order to reinforce the link with WP2?

Interaction with other WPs: WP1/WP2 : asking for 3 months more for tasks 1.2,1.3&1.4 in order to reinforce the link with WP2
