    V: In recent news we both noticed this attitude from human beings when confronted either with a disaster, like whhappened in 2011 Japan after the earthquake that caused a tsunami

    upon this we discovered the shinto belief that water is essential and reflects spiritual cleansing and even the sounwater is inhabited in temples and shrines all over Japan.

    Buddihism beliefs focuses on meditation through the form of a pathway or sando , which are usually marked by ststairways and these pathways function as connecting an outside with front of the structure.

    after selecting a sketch we felt that the uplifting and the ramp as a pathway was our main concern to reflect the hperseverance. Our first form it was too direct and even though it did have components that we liked after critiqueconcept of a containerof water and a man made material were suggestion made.

    V: these are the orthographix...as visible the opening that is made the the range of the highest waves from 26-28high to indicate the highest waves that happen during the tsunami and to indicate the perseverance people are higabove ground from this mark. the addition of the stairs was to provide the extra support in case you wouldnt beto climb up the ramp

    the visitors will be abut 30 ft high above the sea level to reflect perseverance as the view the ocean which thehollowness of the sturcture wil permit the viewer not only see at through but also hear the harsh splash of the wavwell as finding a surprise
