Timeline when a really “noddy” overview is needed.

GOTO TOOLS #5 – EVERNOTE / ONE NOTE
• One Note actually now seems the better option following the recent office mobile application updates.
• Would be a no-brainer if it wasn’t for the fact that linking to corporate drives to share file locations is tricky (if not impossible).
• One Note allows notes to be emailed to get around this.
• Will quite happily swap content between PC and Ipad.
GOTO TOOLS #6 - GRAFIO
• Flexible drawing tool
• Library of templates to support UML, Data Modelling, Workflow, etc.
• Used to have limited Visio export (seems to have vanished) but still usable.
• Another useful App for prototyping as a group

• For when you simply have to see that MS Project file in all its gory detail!!!
• Loads via Cloud – so once again – Security could be an issue

THE HARDWARE
• Miracast Dongle • WiFi enabled AV streaming to an HDMI compatible device. • Plug in to projectors (with HDMI) or more generally Smart TV devices to present Ipad
content. Can also stream from Laptop (any device that is WiFi Enabled)
• WiFi Disk Hub • Off shoot from my photography!! • Local Wifi Hub – which support various memory cards and USB interface for external
drives. • Gets around locked USB ports!!
• MiFi • Typically WiFi access is a requested service on customer sites and needs renewal
daily/weekly. • For access to Assystem Services – easier to use MiFi access as required!!! • Also back-up for own Iphone / Ipad inter-connectivity
THE FUTURE
• My biggest problem with the IPAD is it isn’t multi-tasking … the new IPAD PRO promises to fulfil this … but also has serious competition from the Surface 3 / 4. Add multi-tasking and the ability to hop around from window to window … and WOW!!!!
• More and more cloud based data; corporate security models need to either provide their own encrypted clouds (?) or …. ??? I don’t know the answer at the moment … Currently keeping on the right side of security by not placing anything that can be identifiable in the Cloud. Obscuring titles and actions for any casual viewers.
